Lexi Atkins (born February 10, 1993) is an American actress, model and beauty pageant titleholder who was crowned Miss Illinois USA and Miss Illinois Teen USA. [1] She is known for her roles in The Boy Next Door starring Jennifer Lopez, Zombeavers , [2] and Ted 2 . [3] [4]

Career

Atkins was born and raised in Champaign, Illinois. [5] Having won several beauty pageants in her home-state, Atkins received her first acting opportunity in 2014 with the film Zombeavers . [6] Alongside her acting and modeling work, she also founded Tely Organics in 2021 in affiliation with Erewhon Market in Los Angeles, California. [7]

Miss USA is an American beauty pageant that has been held annually since 1952 to select the entrant from United States in the Miss Universe pageant. The Miss Universe Organization operated both pageants, as well as Miss Teen USA, until 2020, when the organization announced it was licensing operation of the Miss USA and Miss Teen USA pageants to Crystle Stewart, Miss USA for 2008 prior to her suspension in October 2022, thus returning the said pageants to the Miss Universe Organization.

<i>Zombeavers</i> 2014 film by Jordan Rubin

Zombeavers is a 2014 American horror comedy film directed by Jordan Rubin, based on a script by Al Kaplan, Jordan Rubin, and Jon Kaplan. The film follows a group of college kids staying at a riverside cottage that are attacked by a swarm of zombie beavers. A trailer for the film was released in early February 2014 and went viral. The film had its world premiere on April 19, 2014, at the Tribeca Film Festival. The film was released in the U.S. on March 20, 2015. In December 2014, Zombeavers was released on DVD.

Miss USA 2020 was the 69th Miss USA pageant. It was held at the Exhibition Centre and the Soundstage at Graceland in Memphis, Tennessee, on November 9, 2020. Akbar Gbaja-Biamila and Allie LaForce served as hosts, while Cheslie Kryst and Christian Murphy served as backstage commentators, and Haley Reinhart performed. Cheslie Kryst of North Carolina crowned Asya Branch of Mississippi as her successor at the end of the event. Branch is the second consecutive African American to win the title, and the fourth one in five years. This is Mississippi's first win at the Miss USA pageant. Branch represented the United States at the Miss Universe 2020 pageant and placed in the Top 21.
