Lidziya Hrafeyeva (born 14 December 1985) is a Belarusian cross-country skier and biathlete. [1] She has competed at the Winter Paralympics in 2014 and 2018. [2]
She claimed her first Paralympic medal after clinching a bronze medal in the women's 6km sitting biathlon event during the 2018 Winter Paralympics. [3] After claiming the bronze medal at the 2018 Winter Paralympics, she hinted about her plans to step into participate at the Summer Paralympics and hinted about to choose the sport of shooting following her success at the biathlon event which also comprises shooting. Coincidentally both Lidziya and her husband, Dzmitry Loban went onto represent Belarus at the 2018 Winter Paralympics. [5]
Lidziya Hrafeyeva was affected in a car accident at the age of 27, which led to the amputations of her legs. Following the accident, she decided to take the sport of Paralympic Nordic skiing in 2014 before being selected to represent Belarus at the 2014 Winter Paralympics. [6]
She married fellow Belarusian Paralympic Nordic skier, Dzmitry Loban who has represented Belarus at the Paralympics in 2010, 2014 and 2018. [7] Lidziya Hrafeyeva was also encouraged to take the sport of cross-country skiing by her husband. [6]
Darya Uladzimirauna Domracheva is a retired Belarusian biathlete and coach who competed in the Biathlon World Cup from 2006 to 2018. She won a gold medal in the 4×6 km relay and a silver medal in the mass start competition at the 2018 Winter Olympics, three gold medals in the pursuit, individual, and mass start competitions at the 2014 Winter Olympics, and a bronze medal in the individual competition at the 2010 Winter Olympics. She was a Biathlon World Cup overall winner for the 2014–15 season.

Andrea Eskau is a German handbiker, Paralympic biathlon, and cross country skier who was born in Apolda and was a winner of three gold medals in Summer Paralympic games. In 2014, she became a recipient of another gold medal at the 2014 Winter Paralympics in Sochi, Russia. In 2013, she was a cross-country sit skiing winner at the IPC Nordic Skiing World Championship. Eskau also competed at the 2016 Paralympic games in Rio de Janeiro winning a gold medal in the H5 Cycling road race and taking home a bronze medal in the H4-5 time trial. In 2018, Eskau went on to compete at her third Winter Paralympmics and won gold in both the 10 km and 12.5 km sitting biathlon.
Vasily Shaptsiaboi is a Belarusian Paralympic biathlete, cross-country skier, and road bicycle racer who won many medals at both Winter and Summer Paralympic Games.
Anatolii Kovalevskyi is a Ukrainian male visually impaired cross-country skier and biathlete. He represented Ukraine at the 2014 Winter Paralympics and competed in the men's cross-country skiing and biathlon events. Anatolii Kovalevskyi also went onto represent Ukraine at the 2018 Winter Paralympics and secured a bronze medal in the men's 7.5km visually impaired biathlon event.
Anja Wicker is a German handicapped cross-country skier and biathlete. She represented Germany at the 2014 Winter Paralympics claiming a gold and a silver medal in the biathlon events. She also represented Germany at the 2018 and 2022 Winter Paralympics.
Mikhalina Anatolyevna Lysova is a Russian visually impaired cross-country skier and biathlete. She has represented Russia at the Paralympics in 2010 and in 2014 competing in the cross-country skiing and biathlon events. She progressed to become one of the most consistent Paralympics Nordic skiers of Russia as she claimed 16 medals in her Paralympic career including 6 gold medals. She was also the recipient of the Order ''For Merit to the Fatherland'' and Order of Friendship awards.
Stanislav Chokhlaev is a Russian male visually impaired cross-country skier and biathlete. He represented Russia at the 2014 Winter Paralympics and was successful in his maiden Paralympic competition, claiming three medals including 2 silver medals in the cross-country skiing event. In 2017, he was awarded the Return to Life Prize by the Russian Paralympic Committee.
