Nippon Professional Baseball is a professional baseball league and the highest level of baseball in Japan. Locally, it is often called Puro Yakyū (プロ野球), meaning simply Professional Baseball; outside of Japan, NPB is often referred to as "Japanese baseball".
The Yomiuri Giants are a Japanese professional baseball team competing in Nippon Professional Baseball's Central League. Based in Bunkyo, Tokyo, they are one of two professional baseball teams based in Tokyo, the other being the Tokyo Yakult Swallows. They have played their home games in the Tokyo Dome since its opening in 1988. The team's owner is Yomiuri Shimbun Holdings, Japan's largest media conglomerate which also owns two newspapers and the Nippon Television Network.

Christopher Jon Seddon is an American former professional baseball pitcher. Seddon was drafted by the Tampa Bay Devil Rays in the fifth round of the 2001 Major League Baseball draft. He later went on to play in the Devil Rays organization (2001–2007), the Florida Marlins organization (2007–2008), the Seattle Mariners organization (2009–2010) and the Cleveland Indians organization (2012). On September 3, 2007, Seddon made his Major League Baseball (MLB) debut with the Marlins. He has also played in Korea Baseball Organization (KBO) for the SK Wyverns and in Nippon Professional Baseball (NPB) for the Yomiuri Giants.
Tatsunori Hara is a Japanese former professional baseball infielder and manager. He played 15 seasons in Nippon Professional Baseball (NPB) for the Yomiuri Giants, and also spent 17 seasons as the club's manager.

Takayuki Kajitani is a Japanese former professional baseball outfielder. He played in Nippon Professional Baseball (NPB) from 2007 to 2024 for the Yokohama BayStars/Yokohama DeNA BayStars and Yomiuri Giants.
Kuo Chun-lin is a Taiwanese professional baseball pitcher for the Uni-President Lions of the Chinese Professional Baseball League (CPBL). He has previously played in Nippon Professional Baseball (NPB) for the Saitama Seibu Lions and in the CPBL for the Fubon Guardians. He attended the National Taiwan University of Physical Education and Sport.
Wang Po-jung (Chinese: 王柏融; born 9 September 1993), nicknamed "The King (Dawang)", is a Taiwanese professional baseball outfielder for the TSG Hawks of the Chinese Professional Baseball League (CPBL). He previously played for the Lamigo Monkeys of the Chinese Professional Baseball League (CPBL) from 2015 through 2018 and in Nippon Professional Baseball (NPB) for the Hokkaido Nippon-Ham Fighters.
