Linda Johanna Wilhelmina van Impelen (born 8 August 1985) is a Dutch paralympic alpine skier. She represents the Netherlands in various alpine disciplines. She won a silver medal at the 2018 Winter Paralympics.
Linda was injured in 2009 in a car accident. [1]
Kees-Jan van der Klooster is a Paralympian athlete from Netherlands competing in alpine skiing events. In March 2001 he had a snowboard accident and broke his back. Since then he is paralysed from his waist down. His coach is Falco Teitsma.
The Netherlands participated in the inaugural Paralympic Games in 1960 in Rome, where it sent a delegation of five athletes. The country has participated in every subsequent edition of the Summer Paralympics. It made its Winter Paralympics début in 1984, and has taken part in every subsequent edition of the Games, except 2006. The Netherlands was the host country of the 1980 Summer Paralympics, in Arnhem.

Marlou van Rhijn is a retired professional Dutch former professional sprint runner. Van Rhijn, who was born without lower legs, is the world record holder for T43 in the 100 and 200 metres events and ran with the aid of carbon fibre transtibial artificial limbs. She competed in T44 events though she was classified in T43. She announced her retirement in June 2021.
Laurie Stephens is an alpine monoskier who has spina bifida. She has won multiple medals for the United States at the Paralympics. She has also had success at the IPC Alpine Skiing World Cup.
Marie Bochet is a French alpine skier and Paralympic Champion.
Bibian Mentel-Spee was a Dutch three-fold Winter Paralympics gold-medalist, and five-times world champion para-snowboarding athlete. Mentel won the Paralympic gold medal in the snowboard cross discipline in the 2014 and 2018 Paralympic Winter Games, as well as in the banked slalom in 2018, despite battling cancer nine times since the beginning of the century. She won her 2018 medals at age 45.
Eléonor Sana is a Belgian visually impaired alpine skier. Sana won a bronze medal in the women's visually impaired downhill event during the 2018 Winter Paralympics, her first Paralympic medal after competing in her first Paralympic event.
The Netherlands sent competitors to the 2018 Winter Paralympics in Pyeongchang, South Korea. Four people competed in para-snowboarding. Five people competed in para-alpine skiing. Anna Jochemsen and Jeffrey Stuut are standing skiers. Linda van Impelen, Jeroen Kampschreur and Niels de Langen have all competed in all 5 para-alpine sit-ski events. Lisa Bunschoten, Bibian Mentel and Chris Vos all competed at the 2014 Winter Paralympics in Sochi. Renske van Beek was the only snowboarder on Team Netherlands who did not go to Sochi.
Momoka Muraoka is a woman para-alpine skier, who won five medals for Japan at the 2018 Winter Paralympics. She also served as their flag-bearer at the 2018 Winter Paralympics Parade of Nations.She graduated from Waseda University with a degree in Sports science.
Jeroen Kampschreur is a Dutch paralympic skier. Kampschreur was born without shinbones, which resulted in both of his legs being amputated above the knee at age one. Consequently, he began using a wheelchair. On 23 March 2018, Kampschreur was knighted in the Order of Orange-Nassau.
Lisa Bunschoten is a Dutch para-snowboarder. She won a silver and a bronze medal in snowboarding at the 2018 Winter Paralympics.
Alana Ramsay is a Canadian paralympic alpine skier, born in Calgary, Alberta. Ramsay, who was born with cerebral palsy due to a stroke at birth, started skiing at age 6. On the Para-Alpine World Cup circuit in 2015/16, she landed her first podium. In both 2016 and 2017, Ramsay was named Canadian Ski Racing Female Para Alpine Athlete of the Year. Ramsay has competed in 3 Paralympic games thus far, she won bronze medals at the Pyeongchang 2018 Winter Paralympics in both the super-G and super combined events. In the 2022 Beijing Winter Paralympics, Ramsay won two more bronze medals, in the super combined standing and super-G standing events.
Pierre Couquelet is a Belgian alpine skier. He competed in three events at the 1984 Winter Olympics.
The Netherlands sent a delegation to compete at the 2014 Winter Paralympics in Sochi, Russia, held between 7–16 March 2014. The Netherlands delegation consisted of seven competitors, all of which were competing in sports under the alpine skiing banner. Bibian Mentel won the nation's only medal at these Paralympics, a gold in women's snowboard cross. With one gold medal, the Netherlands ranked a joint 14th place on the medal table with Switzerland.
