Camp Lazlo is an American animated television series created by Joe Murray for Cartoon Network. The series follows Lazlo, an anthropomorphic spider monkey that goes to a camp called "Camp Kidney", a Boy Scout-like summer camp in Pimpleback Mountains. Lazlo resides in the "Jelly Bean" cabin with his fellow Bean Scouts; Raj, an Indian elephant, and Clam, a pygmy rhinoceros. Lazlo is often at odds with his pessimistic camp leader, Scoutmaster Lumpus, but usually gets along well with the second-in-command, Slinkman, and other campers. Camp Kidney sits just across the lake from Acorn Flats, which is home to the campsite of the all-female Squirrel Scouts. Camp Lazlo was one of the first Cartoon Network Studios series produced in a widescreen aspect ratio of 16:9, despite originally being broadcast in the full screen aspect ratio of 4:3.

John Andrew Overtoom is an American animation director, writer, photographer, and cinematographer. Recent credits include Nickelodeon’s The Patrick Star Show as well as the animated feature film The SpongeBob Movie: Sponge on the Run, where he served as CG animation director and head of character animation. He was supervising animation director on the Cartoon Network series Clarence, as well as the Disney animated television series Billy Dilley's Super-Duper Subterranean Summer where he was a writer and animation supervisor. In 1999, after two years as an animation timer on The Angry Beavers, Overtoom was hired as an animation director on the Nickelodeon animated television series SpongeBob SquarePants, for which he was nominated for Emmy Awards in 2004, 2007 and 2011. Alvarez studied at the Chouinard Art Institute, which later became the California Institute of the Arts, graduating in 1971. He has worked on hundreds of productions, mainly for television. Sherry Gunther is an American producer known for her work in animation. While at Klasky Csupo, Gunther worked on the television series Duckman, Rugrats and early seasons of The Simpsons, for which she won a Primetime Emmy Award in 1991. She was made senior vice president of production at Hanna-Barbera Cartoons in 1995. Under Hanna-Barbera President Fred Seibert she oversaw production of Turner Entertainment programs such as Dexter's Laboratory, Johnny Bravo, The Real Adventures of Jonny Quest and the World Premiere Toons. Sherry then went on to produce Family Guy and to found Twentieth Television's first in-house prime-time animation studio, and produced countless prime-time pilots for Imagine Television, Touchstone Television, Twentieth Television, Fox and Carsey Warner. She also produced theatrical shorts of Looney Tunes for Warner Bros. Bryan D. Andrews is an American storyboard artist and writer known for his work in science fiction and superhero films. Born in 1975, Andrews began his film career with a credit in Warner Bros. Feature Animation's 1998 film Quest for Camelot. He contributed to Joseph: King of Dreams, Jackie Chan Adventures, Samurai Jack, My Life as a Teenage Robot, and various installments of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, such as Doctor Strange and Avengers: Endgame. Andrews also worked alongside Genndy Tartakovsky to produce the animated series Sym-Bionic Titan for Cartoon Network, which ran for 20 episodes.

Since graduating from Emily Carr in 1994, and moving to Los Angeles, CA, Lindsey has worked on a variety of animated primetime and children's programs. For eight seasons, she was a timer for the television show, The Simpsons and also worked on the feature film, The Simpsons Movie as an assistant director. Her work as a director on the children's television series Camp Lazlo for the Cartoon Network, garnered three Pulcinella awards and two Emmy nominations. In 2008, a second nomination for Lazlo, netted her first Emmy win. Lindsey currently works as the Retakes Director on the television show Family Guy and received an Emily Carr "Emily" Alumni Award in 2009.
