Lisa Jo Gottsegen Hoffman (born September 1, 1954) [1] is an American businesswoman. She is the founder and president of Lisa Hoffman Beauty.
Hoffman was born in Los Angeles, California to William Lawrence Gottsegen (1929–2012), and Marcia Francis Gottsegen (née Salter) (1931-2017) [2] . [1] She graduated from University of Colorado at Boulder in 1976 with a bachelor's degree in psychology. [3] She is Jewish. [4]
Hoffman is married to American actor Dustin Hoffman. They married in Roxbury, Connecticut on October 12, 1980. They have four children together: Jacob Edward (born 1981), Rebecca Lillian (born 1983), Maxwell Geoffrey (born 1984), and Alexandra Lydia (born 1987). She is stepmother to Hoffman's daughters from his first marriage: Karina (born 1966) and Jenna (born 1970).
In 2007, Hoffman released a line of beauty products under the brand Lisa Hoffman Beauty. She is the founder and current president of Lisa Hoffman Beauty, which specializes in fine fragrance products.
In 2008, Lisa Hoffman was named "Newcomer of the Year" by Women's Wear Daily magazine. [5] Lisa Hoffman Beauty was also named among the "Beauty's Top 40 of 2008" by Redbook magazine. [6] Lisa Hoffman Beauty won an Allure Best of Beauty award in 2008 and 2009. [7] In 2009, Lisa Hoffman Beauty won two nominations for the Top Five FiFi Finalist in the Unique Boutique category. [8] The fragrances Madagascar Orchid and Japanese Agarwood were nominated alongside Acqua di Parma, Karl Lagerfeld, Chanel, and Tom Ford. [9]
In 2012, Lisa Hoffman Beauty was nominated for two FiFi Awards, in the category of Technological Breakthrough, for their fragrance tools and their "Fine Fragrance Jewelry" collection. The company has been recognized for advanced algorithms that identify personal fragrance preferences for consumers. [10] The "Fine Fragrance Jewelry" collection was nominated for an award in Technological Breakthrough in Packaging Technology and Delivery Systems. [11] The company was also nominated as a finalist in the HBA International Package Design Awards (IPDA) - an industry-specific award. [12]
In 2015, Lisa Hoffman Beauty won the ICMAD Award for its Brazilian Begonia Fragrance Bracelet. [13]

American singer Britney Spears has developed and endorsed a number of products; these have included books, video releases, video games, dolls, clothing, and perfumes. In 2000, Spears released a limited edition of sunglasses titled Shades of Britney. In 2001, she signed a deal with shoe company Skechers, and a $7–8 million promotional deal with Pepsi, their biggest entertainment deal at the time. Glow by JLo is a women's fragrance endorsed by American entertainer Jennifer Lopez, and released through Cotyorporated. It was conceived as far back as 1998 when Lopez announced a lifestyle line that would include a fragrance. Contradictory to assumptions that it would be unsuccessful, it performed extremely well, becoming America's top-selling fragrance. Glow Industries filed a lawsuit against Lopez and Coty to not use the term "Glow", however, a judge denied their request. Along with products from Lopez's fashion and lifestyle line, it brought in over $300 million by 2004. Subsequently, Glow became a successful woman's fragrance line.
Heat is a perfume endorsed by Beyoncé. It was created by her alongside Claude Dir and Olivier Gillotin of the company Givaudan. The product, which was released on February 3, 2010, uses the tagline "catch the fever". The release was promoted with a cover version of "Fever" recorded by Beyoncé and a limited edition extended play (EP) also titled Heat. She also appeared at Macy's Herald Square to launch the perfume and on The Today Show where she discussed about Heat.

S by Shakira is the first woman's fragrance by Colombian singer songwriter Shakira. Developing an interest in perfumery and scents, Shakira signed an agreement with international fashion company Puig to create a line of beauty and personal care products. S by Shakira is an amber perfume which combines scents of various exotic sources like sambac jasmine, sandalwood, and vanilla. The bottle of the perfume is made of treated glass which reflects light at different angles; it does not have a cap and instead utilises a key-like mechanism to stop the flow of the perfume. Shakira launched S by Shakira at a press release in Madrid, Spain, in June 2010, and it was sent to retail stores in September 2010. Critics praised the scent of S by Shakira, but there was criticism regarding the design of the bottle. It was nominated for a FiFi Award in 2011.
True Star is a fragrance endorsed by American fashion designer Tommy Hilfiger released in 2004. The release was followed with a revised version of Beyoncé Knowles' original cover of "Wishing on a Star" and a limited edition EP also titled True Star: A Private Performance. The fragrance's commercial shows the singer Beyoncé Knowles singing a capella the song. Knowles was a poster girl of the perfume. She received $250,000 for this campaign. True Star was followed by one additional release, the True Star Gold.
Lady Gaga Fame is the first fragrance created by American singer Lady Gaga. A unisex fragrance, it was released in Guggenheim Museum and in Macy's stores in the United States and a range of different stores in the United Kingdom on August 22, 2012, and worldwide in September through the singer's Haus Laboratories label in association with Coty, Inc. According to promotional materials, the perfume uses "push-pull technology", rather than the pyramidal structure traditional of perfumes, to combine notes of atropa belladonna, tiger orchid, incense, apricot, saffron, and honey.

Narciso Rodriguez for Her is an eau de toilette-strength perfume launched in September 2003 by fashion designer Narciso Rodriguez and created by perfumers Christine Nagel and Francis Kurkdjian. It has won Fragrance Foundation awards in France and the US, both at its original launch and retrospectively. The original eau de toilette is primarily a musk, amber and orange blossom scent. Narciso Rodriguez subsequently released an eau de parfum version and many other versions, known as flankers, that include other notes.
