Career

Aoede won the Album of the Year for her 2011 release Affair with the Muse, and Best Folk / Acoustic Artist in the inaugural 2012 Artists in Music Awards, [4] Aoede also won Album of the Year 2012. [3] Aoede is a WomensRadio.com's recipient of a Top Album of the Decade honor and Top Artist of the Year for 2008 in recognition of her CD release Push and Pull. [4] Aoede was a 2013 John Lennon Finalist in the children's category for Fairy Tale Love and a 2012 Finalist for Little Things, [5] NY Stage Play Finalist for Do You Believe in Magic?, adapted from Aoede's original fantasy musical recorded as an audiobook featuring songs, dialogue, narration, sound effects and full instrumental score, [6] NY Stage Play Finalist and Ruble New Play Festival Finalist for What Are Dreams Made Of?, adapted from her full-length original fantasy musical, one of the first original musicals recorded on an audiobook. [7] [8] Aoede was also among the 13th Annual Independent Music Awards Vox Pop Winners [9] and was also an International Song Writing Competition winner for Fairy Tale Love. [10]

Sniderman suffers from a rare and debilitating auto-immune disease called dermatomyositis. [11] [12] She also co-founded WomenROCK, a Bay Area-based women-in-music advocacy group. [4] [13]

She rose to fame as the winner of the third season of the reality television series American Idol in 2004. Double Fantasy is the fifth album by John Lennon and Yoko Ono, released in November 1980 on Geffen Records. Produced by Lennon, Ono and Jack Douglas, it was the seventh and final studio album released by Lennon during his lifetime. The album marked Lennon's return to recording music full-time, following his five-year hiatus to raise his son Sean. Recording sessions took place at the Hit Factory in New York City between August and October 1980. The final album features songs from both Lennon and Ono, largely alternating between the two in its track listing. Other tracks recorded by Lennon from the sessions were compiled by Ono for release on Milk and Honey in 1984.

Naomi Novik is an American author of speculative fiction. David Myles is a Canadian songwriter and musician born in Fredericton, New Brunswick. Myles lives in Fredericton New Brunswick, as of September 2020, moving from Halifax, Nova Scotia. An independent artist who self-releases his albums, Myles has been able to gain an increasingly large audience, in part because of his active touring schedule and in part because of his cross-genre musical collaborations, which include a single made with the rapper Classified that became the biggest-selling rap single in the history of Canadian music.

The Preatures Australian indie rock band

The Preatures were an Australian indie rock band from Sydney, New South Wales, who formed in 2010. The band consisted of lead vocalist and keyboardist Isabella "Izzi" Manfredi, guitarist and vocalist Jack Moffitt, bassist Thomas Champion, and drummer Luke Davison. Vocalist and guitarist Gideon Bensen was a member of the band until 2016. In 2013, the Preatures won the Vanda & Young Global Songwriting Competition with their song "Is This How You Feel?" They disbanded in 2021, following the launch of Manfredi's solo career.

Xavier and Ophelia is an American indie rock and electropop music duo based in Nashville, Tennessee. Formed in 2009, members include DeAnna Moore (vocals) and Dave Tough. The band has released two albums including their debut Xavier & Ophelia, which had songs win industry awards. "Falling Down," a track from their 2012 sophomore album I Hate Birds, won Grand Prize at the 2013 John Lennon Songwriting Contest. Their songs have been placed in movies, television and commercials, and in 2013 their song "Heartbeat" was featured on Twisted.

Jennifer Thomas is an American pianist, violinist, composer, performing artist, and recording artist. She was classically trained at Brigham Young University–Idaho, and started composing in 2003, later releasing her debut album in 2007.

Emayla

EMAYLA, also known as Emanuela Bellezza is an Italian-American singer, songwriter, guitarist and pianist, who gained popularity with her original music, after appearing on television networks MTV Très, Univision, RAI, Telefutura and TV Azteca. In 2012, she won a nationwide contest by MTV Très and was chosen by Colombian singer Juanes to sing a duet with him for inclusion on the Deluxe Edition of his album Juanes MTV Unplugged. Emayla won the contest by performing a cover of Juanes' song Fotografia. The album won a Grammy in 2013 as Best Latin Pop Album category. It also won two Latin Grammys: Album of The Year and Best Long Form Music Video. The video of their performance counts over a million and a half views on YouTube. As a result of these achievements, Emayla's song titled Ella Se Va was played in different main radios in Venezuela and reached the top 40 national music charts in the same country.

Port Cities is a Canadian band based in Halifax, Nova Scotia. Formed in 2015, Port Cities is composed of Dylan Guthro, Breagh MacKinnon, and Carleton Stone —each already a singer/songwriter with an established solo career. The band signed with turtlemusik/Warner Music in 2016 and released its debut album in 2017.

Amy Louise Billings, known professionally as Amy Shark, is an Australian indie pop singer-songwriter-guitarist and producer from the Gold Coast, Queensland. During 2008 to 2012, her early solo material was released and performed under the name Amy Cushway. Her 2016 single "Adore" peaked at number 3 on the ARIA Singles Chart and was also listed at number 2 on the Triple J Hottest 100, 2016. Her album Love Monster debuted at number 1 on the ARIA Albums Chart. Shark has won 8 ARIA Music Awards from 29 nominations, including winning Best Pop Release three times: in 2017 for her extended play, Night Thinker, 2018 for Love Monster and 2020 for "Everybody Rise".

Harvey Edelman and Neil Fishman are an American songwriting team, that created and produced the first two audiobook musicals. The first, entitled Spin - The Rumpelstiltskin Musical, distributed by HarperAudio, and featuring Jim Dale. The music of Spin was composed by Fishman, who also did the musical arrangements for the audiobook. Edelman wrote the book and lyrics and adapted his original stage play to the audiobook with David B. Coe, a popular writer of Fantasy novels. The cast of Spin, a witty musical re-imagining of the Grimm’s fairy tale, also featured a list of Broadway and audiobook performers. Spin won the 2018 SOVAS Voice Arts Awards, in two categories including Best Cast in Children's Production and Outstanding Audiobook Production, the 2018 Parents Choice Awards – Silver Honor for Audiobook, and the 2019 Audie Award winner for best "Original Work". They followed up Spin with Puss In Boots a Musical, which was co-adapted by Khristine Hvam. Puss In Boots also featured Jim Dale and a cast of Broadway veterans and was released in August 2019. Puss In Boots a Musical won two 2019 SOVAS Awards for Best Voiceover performance in a Children's Production and Best Audiobook Production, Parents Choice Silver Honor, and was a Audie Awards finalist for Best Audio Drama.

Alana Haim American musician and actress

Alana Mychal Haim is an American musician and actress. She is a pianist, guitarist, and vocalist in the American pop rock band Haim, along with her two older sisters, Este and Danielle, who, in 2020, received a Grammy Award for Album of the Year nomination for their third album, Women in Music Pt. III.

The Royal Foundry

The Royal Foundry is a Canadian alternative Pop quartet band whose core is the Edmonton, Alberta married couple Jared Salte and Bethany Schumacher. Formed as a folk duo in 2013, Salte and Schumacher enjoyed some success with their tours. In 2015, following their first single "Running Away", they began a significant revitalization and revision of their sound, incorporating elements of 1990's Brit-Pop lush production with power-pop stylings of groups like Arcade Fire and 1970's Progressive Rock elements inspired by groups like Yes and Supertramp Their music has been described as Alt Rock, Indie Rock, Alternative Pop, and Synth Pop.
