Vath Koreshi (1936–2006) was one of the most renowned Albanian novelists and screen writers. He is perhaps best known for writing a series of romans and novels such as “The two Saturdays of Susana" (1971), “The Hajji of Frakulla" and “The marriage of Sako" (1980),“Requiem for a woman" (1995), "The wulf and the star" (1996), “A woman in yellow in Buddha Forest" (2003) etc., but also for writing scripts to the movies "Gjeneral Gramafoni" (1978); "Rrugë të Bardha" (1974). "Balada e Kurbinit" (1990) etc.

Saim Kokona was an Albanian cinematographer who was regarded as one of the most prolific in the cinema of Albania.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">National Center of Cinematography (Albania)</span> Film production company

The National Center of Cinematography is the largest film distributor and film production company in the cinema of Albania connected with over 700 films between 1947 and 2012. The studio has produced and distributed the vast majority of Albanian films. Especially important was its work in the 1970s and 1980s when the studio averaged 75–80 movies per year.

Saimir Kumbaro is a retired Albanian film director of the 1980s.

Parashqevi Simaku is an Albanian singer noted for her work in the 1980s. She has won numerous awards and worked with some of the best composers and musicians in Albania. Simaku participated in Festivali i Këngës in 1982, 1983, 1985, 1986, 1987, 1988, and 1990. In 2006 she signed a contract with Sony and BMG for her Albanian-language CD entitled Echoes from Iliria. Simaku has an Aromanian background.

Margarita Xhepa is an Albanian actress, best known as one of the great ladies of Albanian cinema and theater. She continues to play in recent films such as such as portraying Firdus in 'Bolero në vilën e pleqve,' based on the novel of the same title by Fatos Kongoli.

Ndriçim Xhepa is an Albanian actor known for his performance in films and theater since Communsit Regime era.

Dhimitër Shuteriqi was an Albanian scholar, literary historian, and writer. He participated in the anti-fascist National Liberation Movement. After the war, he was a member of the People's Assembly and one of the founders and later president of the Albanian League of Writers and Artists. In addition to a series of books and novels, he has published numerous volumes of textbooks, especially those on the History of Albanian Literature for high schools.

Robert Ndrenika is an Albanian actor and former politician. He was honored with the People's Artist of Albania award in 1988. He was active in films, but also in theater and television performing hundreds of leading and supporting roles.

Gëzim Erebara was an Albanian film director, screen player, translator and cinematography historian of the second half of the 20th century. He studied at the Prague Academy of Fine Arts in 1947–51 but was repatriated few months before graduation for political reasons by the then Communist Government of Albania. He worked in the state owned "Kinostudioja Shqiperia e Re" from 1957 to 1986 and authored or co-authored some of the most important movies.

Nexhati Tafa is an Albanian screenwriter, producer and director. He has written screenplays for some of the biggest films Kinostudio Shqipëria e Re has ever produced.

Pandi Raidhi was an Albanian film and theatre actor, and recipient of the People's Artist of Albania recognition.

Skifter Këlliçi, is an Albanian fiction writer, screenwriter, sports journalist, and radio & TV personality. He started the first radio program that broadcast live sports events in 1958 on Radio Televizioni Shqiptar, the Rubrika Sportive, a show that continues to this day, and later did the same on the Albanian television. He has been a successful screenwriter with movies such as Pas gjurmëve, winner of the international Giffoni Film Festival, Italy, in 1979.

Viktor Gjika was an Albanian director, filmmaker and screenwriter. For his distinguished and remarkable contribution to the cinema, he was awarded the highest title as People's Artist in 1985. He graduated from VKIG Cinematographic Institute of Moscow in Russia. Together with a classmate, presenting their academic degree when graduated, they shot the short film Nobody Ever Dies, based on Ernest Hemingway's story of the same name, which was awarded the First Prize at the Worldwide Cinematographic Institutes Film Festival in the Netherlands in 1961. He created more than 15 movies and over 25 documentary films.

Roza Anagnosti is an Albanian film and stage actress, and the wife of director Dhimitër Anagnosti. She is known for Fijet që priten (1976), Mësonjëtorja (1980) and Detyrë e posaçme (1963).

Thimi Filipi was an Albanian actor who was often cast in the roles of fathers, grandfathers, elders and Germans.
