The Indiana Pacers are an American professional basketball team based in Indianapolis. The Pacers compete in the National Basketball Association (NBA) as a member of the league's Eastern Conference Central Division. The Pacers were first established in 1967 as a member of the American Basketball Association (ABA) and became a member of the NBA in 1976 as a result of the ABA–NBA merger. They play their home games at Gainbridge Fieldhouse. The team is named after the state of Indiana's history with the Indianapolis 500's pace cars and with the harness racing industry.
Stephen Todd Alford is an American men's college basketball coach and former professional player who is the head coach for the Nevada Wolf Pack of the Mountain West Conference (MWC). Born and raised in Indiana, he was a two-time consensus first-team All-American playing in college for the Indiana Hoosiers. He led them to a national championship in 1987. After playing professionally for four years in the National Basketball Association (NBA), he has been a college head coach for almost 30 years.

Zachary John Spiker is an American college basketball coach and the current head basketball coach for the Drexel Dragons. A native of Morgantown, West Virginia, Spiker played college basketball at Ithaca College. He was previously the head coach at Army. He attended The Hill School.
Christopher Michael Beard is an American basketball coach who was most recently the head coach at the University of Texas at Austin for the men's team. He also previously coached at Texas Tech, Little Rock, Angelo State, and McMurry. Beard graduated from high school from McCullough High School in The Woodlands, Texas. He was a manager at Texas under former Longhorns coach Tom Penders, graduating in 1995 with a Bachelor of Science degree in kinesiology. He received a Masters of Education from Abilene Christian University where he served as a graduate assistant in 1998.

They finished the season 15–16, 10–8 in Patriot League play to finish in fifth place. They advanced to the semifinals of the Patriot League tournament where they lost to Boston University.

James Byars Allen Jr. is an American college basketball coach. He was the head men's basketball coach at the United States Military Academy (Army) from 2016 to 2023. Allen was the head men's basketball coach at Averett University in Danville, Virginia from 2004 to 2010.
