Bless This House is a British television sitcom, created by Vince Powell and Harry Driver, and produced by Thames Television for ITV. It stars Sid James, Diana Coupland, Robin Stewart, Sally Geeson, Anthony Jackson and Patsy Rowlands. The series was produced and directed by William G. Stewart for its entirety, while Powell and Driver occasionally served as writers, as did notable British screenwriters, Carla Lane and Dave Freeman.

The first 7 episodes of Bless This House were shown in black and white due to the ITV Colour Strike which took place from 13 November 1970 to 8 February 1971.

The remaining 58 episodes of Bless This House were shown in colour from 23 March 1971 until the show's cancellation on 22 April 1976.

During the course of the programme, 65 episodes of Bless This House aired over six series, between 2 February 1971 and 22 April 1976. [1]

Four days after Bless This House ended with the 13th and final-ever episode of the sixth series, Sid James died from a heart attack after collapsing while on stage at the Sunderland Empire Theatre, aged 62.

The Liver Birds is a British sitcom, set in Liverpool, North West England, which aired on BBC1 from April 1969 to December 1978, and again in 1996. The show was created by Carla Lane and Myra Taylor. The Colour Strike was a period of industrial action by technicians at all ITV companies which ran from 13 November 1970 to 8 February 1971 who, due to a pay dispute with their management, refused to work with colour television equipment.

Pardon The Expression was an ITV sitcom made by Granada Television, that was first broadcast from Wednesday 2 June 1965 to Monday 27 June 1966. The sitcom was one of four spin-offs from the soap opera Coronation Street. Pardon the Expression itself had a spin-off: Turn Out the Lights, broadcast in 1967. Vincent Joseph Powell was a British television scriptwriter. He collaborated with a writing partner, Harry Driver, until 1973.

Beryl's Lot is a British comedy drama about a woman approaching middle-age and embarking on a programme of personal development. It was written by Kevin Laffan, produced by David Cunliffe and Peter Willes, and directed by Derek Bennett and David Reynolds for Yorkshire Television and broadcast on ITV between 1973 and 1977. Beryl's Lot ran for 3 series and 52 episodes in total before its cancellation. The first two series each consisted of 13 one-hour-long episodes, the third series of 26 episodes of 30 minutes.
