Central Coast Mariners Football Club (A-League Women) is an Australian professional women's association football club based in Tuggerah, Central Coast. The club was formed in 2008 joining the W-League (now A-League Women), before they left the competition from 2010–11 rejoining 2023–24.

The A-League Men is an Australian professional league for association football clubs. Michelle Pearl Heyman is an Australian soccer player and commentator who currently plays for Canberra United FC in the A-League in Australia. She became the all-time record goalscorer in the W-League in March 2021 after scoring her 73rd goal. She has previously played for W-League teams Central Coast Mariners, Sydney FC, and Adelaide United, as well as the Western New York Flash in the American National Women's Soccer League. Heyman has represented Australia since 2010, playing at the 2014 AFC Women's Asian Cup, the 2015 FIFA World Cup and the 2016 Summer Olympics. In May 2019, she retired from international football but returned to the team in January 2024 when she was called up following an injury to Matildas' striker Sam Kerr.
The Central Coast Mariners FC, also known as the Central Coast Mariners Women, represents the Central Coast Mariners in Australia's premier women's soccer competition, A-League Women.
The F3 Derby is an association football rivalry between Central Coast Mariners and Newcastle Jets. It is the longest standing derby in the A-League Men. The rivalry originated due to the team's relative geographical proximity, with the Mariners located on the Central Coast of New South Wales, the Jets in Newcastle, immediately to the north. The two clubs were also the only two clubs from outside capital cities in the inaugural A-League seasons, which contributed to the rivalry.
Wellington Phoenix Football Club is a New Zealand professional association football club based in Wellington Central, Wellington. The club was formed in 2007 to be the second New Zealand member admitted into the A-League Men after the demise of New Zealand Knights.
