Robert Francis "Bobcat" Goldthwait is an American actor, comedian, director and screenwriter, known for his acerbic black comedy stand-up act, delivered through an energetic stage persona with an unusual raspy and high-pitched voice. Waiting for God was a Canadian goth-industrial band from Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, who recorded from 1994 to 1997. The band consisted of Daemon Cadman, Martin Myers, Greg Price and Steven Fairweather; lead singer Cadman's lyrics were often about her murdered brother, Jesse Cadman. Waiting For God released two albums, Quarter Inch Thick and Desipramine, before breaking up.

Don't Wait Up is a British sitcom that was broadcast for six series from 1983 to 1990 on BBC1. It starred Nigel Havers, Tony Britton and Dinah Sheridan, and was written by George Layton. It was directed and produced by Harold Snoad, who also directed and produced another sitcom, Keeping Up Appearances. The series was adapted in part from an earlier, unbroadcast Comedy Playhouse by Layton
