Flame of Recca is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Nobuyuki Anzai. The plot follows the protagonist Recca Hanabishi, a teenage ninja with the ability to manipulate fire and a descendant of the Hokage, a ninja clan wiped out centuries ago.

Contents

The Flame of Recca manga was originally serialized in Weekly Shōnen Sunday from 1995 to 2002, with a total of 329 chapters. The series was compiled into 33 tankōbon (collected volumes) and was published by Shogakukan from September 18, 1995 to April 18, 2002. [1] [2] Shogakukan also released the manga in 17 wideban volumes and, beginning in 2010, as part of its Comic Bunko label. [3] [4] [5] [6] The manga was licensed for North American distribution in English by Viz Media and United Kingdom distribution in English by Gollancz Manga. Viz released all 33 volumes from July 30, 2003 to November 10, 2009, while Gollancz released ten volumes between March 6 and November 28, 2006. [7] [8] [9] [10]

The series was adapted into a 39-episode anime television series broadcast exclusively by Animax across Japan. In North America, the series was licensed for English language release by Viz Media. <i>Recca</i> 1992 video game

Recca is a 1992 scrolling shooter video game developed by KID and published by Naxat Soft for the Family Computer. Controlling the titular space fighter craft, the player is sent to counterattack an invading alien armada while avoiding collision with their projectiles and other obstacles. The ship has a powerful bomb at its disposal that can be used as shield and clear the screen of enemies and bullets when fully charged.

Märchen Awakens Romance, officially abbreviated as MÄR, is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Nobuyuki Anzai, serialized in Shogakukan's shōnen manga magazine Weekly Shōnen Sunday from January 2003 to July 2006, with its chapters collected in 15 tankōbon volumes. The story follows 14-year-old junior high student Ginta Toramizu who is transported into a fantasy-based world known as MÄR-Heaven. As Ginta ventures in the world of MÄR-Heaven, he encounters allies and antagonists.

<i>Cheeky Angel</i> Japanese manga series by Hiroyuki Nishimori

Cheeky Angel is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Hiroyuki Nishimori. The story revolves around the adventures of 15-year-old schoolgirl Megumi Amatsuka, a popular and beautiful tomboy that always get into fights with a secret: she used to be a boy. It was serialized in Shogakukan's Weekly Shōnen Sunday from June 1999 to August 2003. Its chapters were collected in 20 tankōbon volumes. A 50-episode anime television series adaptation by TMS Entertainment was broadcast on TV Tokyo between April 2002 and March 2003. In 2001, the manga won the 46th Shogakukan Manga Award for the shōnen category.

<i>Even a Monkey Can Draw Manga</i> Japanese manga series

Even a Monkey Can Draw Manga, also abbreviated as Saruman (サルまん), is a Japanese parody instructional manga by Koji Aihara and Kentaro Takekuma. It was serialized in Shogakukan's seinen manga magazine Big Comic Spirits from 1989 to 1991, with its chapters collected in three tankōbon volumes. The manga was licensed in North America by Viz Media, being serialized in its Pulp magazine from 2001 to 2002; they also released a single volume. A second series, titled Saruman 2.0, was serialized in Shogakukan's Monthly Ikki from 2007 to 2008; its chapters were collected in a single volume, released in 2017.

<i>Mao</i> (manga) Japanese manga series by Rumiko Takahashi

Mao is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Rumiko Takahashi. It has been serialized in Shogakukan's Weekly Shōnen Sunday magazine since May 2019, with its chapters collected in 18 tankōbon volumes as of November 2023. In North America, the series is licensed for English release by Viz Media.
