In June 2012, the series was renewed for a third and last season of 50 episodes, which aired from March 4 to May 10, 2013.

The band was formed for the series in Mexico City by Televisa by producer Pedro Damián in August 2011. Music for the band's album was produced and written by Carlos Lara and former pop-rock singer Lynda Thomas.
