List of Heroscape supplements

This is a list of supplemental materials for Heroscape , a miniature-based strategy board game. There are three types of sets: Master sets are the base set, which provide enough terrain and figures to be able to play the game. Small expansion sets come in waves with small characters. Large expansions come with new terrain, terrain-specific characters, large characters, or a mix of both. Promotional sets were also released through specific stores conventions.

Master sets

Rise of the Valkyrie

Released in 2004, Rise of the Valkyrie was the first master set released for the game. [1]

Swarm of the Marro

Released in 2007, Swarm of the Marro was the second master set released for the main game. [1]

An alternate storyline/universe for Heroscape that featured figures from Dungeon-and-Dragons alongside traditional Heroscape figures when the game was taken over by Wizards of the Coast.

Age of Annihilation

After a failed revival attempt in 2022 by Avalon Hill, another Hasbro subsidiary (Renegade Game Studios) announced that they were manufacturing Wave 1 of the Heroscape revival, which would include the master set Age of Annihilation in 2024.

Crest of the Valkyrie (December 2006): (Five figures exclusively distributed through Toys "R" Us.). Flagbearers represent each of the five Valkyrie Generals, the major factions of Heroscape. Each flagbearer includes special dice that activate some of their powers and embroidered dice bag. The five flagbearers are:

<i>Mage Knight</i> Tabletop game

Mage Knight is a miniatures wargame using collectible figures, created by WizKids, Inc, and is the earliest example of what is now known as a collectible miniatures game. The game was designed by founder Jordan Weisman along with Kevin Barrett. The game is the first to use WizKids' Clix system, combining roleplaying and wargaming elements with aspects of collectible card games. Mage Knight achieved success after it was introduced in 2000.

<i>Memoir 44</i> Board game

Memoir '44 is a light wargame or war-themed strategy board game for two players. It was created by Richard Borg and published in 2004 by Days of Wonder. Illustration done by Julien Delval and Cyrille Daujean. The game can be played with up to six players if played in teams and up to eight players in the "Overlord" scenarios. However, "Overlord" requires two copies of the game. It received the 2004 International Gamers Award for General Strategy, 2-Player category and The Wargamer 2004 Award for Excellence. The game is published in English and French by Days of Wonder.

<i>Greyhawk Wars</i> (game) Fantasy board wargame

Greyhawk Wars is a fantasy board wargame that was published by TSR, Inc. in 1991. The game was designed by David Cook as a strategic simulation of the eponymous Greyhawk Wars on the fictional world of Oerth, the World of Greyhawk campaign setting for the Dungeons & Dragons role-playing game.

<i>Battle Masters</i> 1992 board game by Milton Bradley and Games Workshop

Battle Masters is a miniature wargame by Milton Bradley, made in collaboration with Games Workshop in 1992. It is thematically similar to Warhammer Fantasy Battle, but with much simpler game mechanics. Like other Milton Bradley/Games Workshop partnership board games HeroQuest and Space Crusade, Battle Masters was designed by Stephen Baker, who later went on to design the popular game Heroscape.

MechWarrior: Dark Age was a tabletop wargame by WizKids set in the BattleTech universe that uses the Clix system. The game's miniatures are pre-painted models of infantry squads, vehicles, and giant walking war machines known as BattleMechs or more simply "'mechs".

Battle Cry is a board wargame based on the American Civil War, designed by Richard Borg and published by Avalon Hill in 2000.

<i>Magic Realm</i> Board game

Magic Realm is a fantasy adventure board game designed by Richard Hamblen and published by Avalon Hill in 1979. Magic Realm is more complex than many wargames and is somewhat similar to a role-playing game. It can be played solitaire or with up to 16 players and game time can last 4 hours or more. The game board is a type of geomorphic mapboard constructed of large double-sided hexagon tiles, ensuring a wide variety of playing surfaces.

Heroes of Might & Magic IV Collectible Card and Tile Game is a 2005 collectible card game created by DG Associates and designed by Jonathan Bjork.

HorrorClix is a collectible miniatures game. Released on August 30, 2006, it uses WizKids' Clix system. The game's tagline is "wicked fun." The product was discontinued in November 2008 when WizKids' new owner Topps shut down the company. In September 2009, collectible toy producer NECA announced it had purchased WizKids' intellectual property from Topps, including HorrorClix.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">Runebound</span> Fantasy adventure board game

Runebound is a high fantasy adventure board game created by Martin Wallace and Darrel Hardy and published by Fantasy Flight Games in 2004. A second edition was published in 2005. A third edition was released in 2015. In Runebound, one to six players take the roles of adventurers who seek out quests. The quests are then resolved with either victory for the player, or a loss of some item. Each player is seeking quests and trying to gain experience which results in greater power and combat skill.

Last Night on Earth: The Zombie Game is a survival horror board game that was first published in 2007. Players can play on the Hero team or as the Zombies. A modular board randomly determines the layout of the town at the start of each game and there are several different scenarios to play. Seven supplements have been released.

<i>Dungeons & Dragons Miniatures Game</i>

The Dungeons & Dragons Miniatures Game is a collectible miniatures game played with pre-painted, plastic miniature figures based on characters and monsters from the Dungeons & Dragons game. The figures are 30mm in scale. Produced by Wizards of the Coast, the Dungeons & Dragons Miniatures line is composed of 20 loosely themed sets that were released roughly every four months since the line was launched in 2003 until its cancellation in 2011.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">Heroscape</span> Miniature wargaming system

Heroscape is an expandable turn-based miniature wargaming system originally manufactured by Hasbro subsidiaries from 2004 until its discontinuation in November 2010. Geared towards younger players, the game is played using pre-painted miniature figures on a board made from interlocking hexagonal tiles, allowing for the construction of an interchangeable and variable 3D landscape. This system and the relatively high production quality of the game materials have been lauded by fans even years after the game was discontinued, eventually leading to its revival in 2024.
