Indiana State's current head coach is Josh Schertz. He was hired as the Sycamores' head coach in March 2021, [2] replacing Greg Lansing, who was fired after the 2020–21 season. [3]

An assistant and head coach at the high school and college levels since 1990, he was most recently the head men's basketball coach at Indiana State University from 2010 to 2021, having twice previously been an assistant coach at Indiana State.
