Minsk is the capital and largest city of Belarus, located on the Svislach and the now subterranean Niamiha rivers. As the capital, Minsk has a special administrative status in Belarus and is the administrative centre of Minsk Region and Minsk District. As of 2024, it has a population of about two million, making Minsk the 11th-most populous city in Europe. Minsk is one of the administrative capitals of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) and the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU).
Mińsk Mazowiecki is a town in eastern Poland with 40,999 inhabitants (2020). It is situated in the Masovian Voivodeship and is a part of the Warsaw metropolitan area. It is the capital of Mińsk County. Located 20 kilometers from the city limits of Warsaw and 38 kilometers from Warsaw's center.
Minsk National Airport, formerly known as Minsk-2, is the main international airport in Belarus, located 42 km (26 mi) to the east of the capital Minsk. It geographically lies in the territory of Smalyavichy Raion but is administratively subordinated to the Kastrychnitski District of Minsk. The Minsk Metro is a rapid transit system that serves Minsk, the capital of Belarus. Opened 29 June 1984, it presently consists of 3 lines and 33 stations, totaling 40.8 kilometres (25.4 mi). In 2013, the system carried 328.3 million passengers, which averages to a daily ridership of approximately 899,450. In 2023, the system carried 233.9 million passengers, which averages to a daily ridership of approximately 640,800.
Minsk-Pasažyrski is the main passenger railway station in Minsk, Belarus. It is located in the centre of Minsk. It is sometimes called Minsk Ploshchad Lenina due to the metro station serving the terminal, or simply Minsk.
Barysaŭski trakt, is a Minsk Metro station on the Maskoŭskaja line. Opened on 7 November 2007 the station's name is derived from the Barysaw Highway which leads to a city that is northeast of Minsk.
Uručča is a Minsk Metro station, a terminus of the Maskoŭskaja line. Opened on 7 November 2007 it is the first station outside the Minsk Automobile Ring Road, located in the Uručča ('Brookside') microraion of Minsk's Metropolitan Borough of Pershamayski.

Zhodzina or Zhodino is a town in Minsk Region, Belarus, located 50 kilometres (31 mi) north-east of Minsk. The city covers an area of 19 square kilometres (7.3 sq mi). In 2021, its population was 65,451. As of 2024, it has a population of 63,744.
Fanipol or Fanipal is a town in Minsk Region, Belarus. Fanipol is located in Dzyarzhynsk District, 24 km (15 mi) southwest of Minsk and 13 km (8.1 mi) southwest of the Minsk Automobile Ring Road. As of 2024, it has a population of 18,252.

The Nyamiha stampede took place at Nyamiha metro station in Minsk, Belarus. On May 30, 1999, a sudden thunderstorm caused a number of young people to race for shelter during an open-air concert nearby. The stampede was funneled into the blocked underpass of the metro station and many people were killed in the ensuing crowd crush when they started slipping on the wet pavement, falling, and trampling each other.

The Zelenaluzhskaya line is the third line of the Minsk Metro. The line opened in 2020. It comprises 7 stations. The line was officially opened by Alexander Lukashenko and other officials on November 6, 2020. On 30 December, 2024, the second stage of the line - consisting of 4.08 km and three new stations - was completed.
