Video Justice is a reality television primetime program produced by John Langley airing on the television cable station truTV and is part of network's truTV RED lineup. The program focuses on criminals who were captured on camera in the act of the crime. The crimes are often "life or death" situations that may involve one of the two parties, either law enforcement or the criminals, being killed or seriously injured. It premiered on May 23, 2013. Sixty episodes have been aired. Mokean Melvin was the show's narrator for the first two seasons. He was then replaced by Charlie Schlatter for the show's third and final season.
The Carbonaro Effect is an American hidden camera practical joke reality television series hosted by magician and prankster Michael Carbonaro, who performs tricks on people caught on hidden camera. It debuted on April 1, 2014, and has been aired on truTV. To promote the second half of the first season, TBS aired a two-hour marathon on October 30, 2014. The second season premiered on April 1, 2015; the third season premiered on February 1, 2017; and the fourth season premiered on May 17, 2018, along with a new insider series titled The Carbonaro Effect: Inside Carbonaro. On October 11, 2019, it was announced that the fifth season would premiere on November 7, 2019. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the series was placed on hiatus. As of 2024, it is unknown if it will continue after its fifth season.

The show was a series of one-hour documentaries that took viewers onto the streets and behind the scenes of crime. The series included footage from the police and the courts, covering everything from high-speed police chases and sting operations to sex trafficking and the impact of the media’s coverage. Each episode showcased a particular aspect of crime, and the issues and controversies surrounding it, including the perspectives of the country's foremost sociologists, psychologists and representatives of leading organizations in each area.
