Navy's current head coach is Ed DeChellis. He was hired as the Midshipmen's head coach in May 2011, [2] replacing Billy Lange, who resigned to join the coaching staff at Villanova. [3]

Edward Richard DeChellis is an American college basketball coach and current head men's basketball coach at the United States Naval Academy. Previously he was the head coach at Penn State from 2003 to 2011 and at East Tennessee State from 1996 to 2003. At Penn State, DeChellis led the Nittany Lions to an NIT title in 2009 and an NCAA tournament berth in 2011. DeChellis' years at East Tennessee State yielded three conference division titles and one NCAA tournament berth. He was named the head coach at Navy in 2011, following the departure of Billy Lange.
William Lange is an American college basketball coach, currently the men's head coach at Saint Joseph's University. He was previously an assistant head coach with the Philadelphia 76ers. Prior to joining the 76ers, he was the associate head coach at Villanova University and head coach of the Navy Midshipmen.
Kurt Michael Kanaskie is an American college basketball coach who is currently the associate head coach for men's basketball at UNC Wilmington. Previously, Kanaskie was head coach positions at Lock Haven, IUP, and Drake.

They defeated Lafayette in the first round of the Patriot League tournament to advance to the quarterfinals where they lost to Lehigh. Despite having 19 wins, they did not participate in a postseason tournament.
