The following is a list of Navy Midshipmen men's basketball head coaches. There have been 19 head coaches of the Midshipmen in their 116-season history. [1]

Navy's current head coach is Ed DeChellis. He was hired as the Midshipmen's head coach in May 2011, [2] replacing Billy Lange, who resigned to join the coaching staff at Villanova. [3]

    Edward Richard DeChellis is an American college basketball coach and current head men's basketball coach at the United States Naval Academy. Previously he was the head coach at Penn State from 2003 to 2011 and at East Tennessee State from 1996 to 2003. At Penn State, DeChellis led the Nittany Lions to an NIT title in 2009 and an NCAA tournament berth in 2011. DeChellis' years at East Tennessee State yielded three conference division titles and one NCAA tournament berth. He was named the head coach at Navy in 2011, following the departure of Billy Lange.

The team finished the season with a 16–0 record and was retroactively named the 1918–19 national champion by the Premo-Porretta Power Poll. It was head coach Billy Lush's third season overall as head basketball coach at Navy, and his first season since returning to the position eight years after his initial stint as head coach.

They finished the season 19–14, 9–9 in Patriot League play to finish in a four way tie for fourth place. They defeated Lafayette in the first round of the Patriot League tournament to advance to the quarterfinals where they lost to Lehigh. Despite having 19 wins, they did not participate in a postseason tournament.

In the Patriot League tournament, they defeated Holy Cross in the quarterfinals before losing to top-seeded Bucknell in the semifinals.
