The following is a list of North Dakota State Bison women's basketball head coaches. There have been 11 head coaches of the Bison in their 58-year history. [1]

North Dakota State's current head coach is Jory Collins. He was hired as the new Bison head coach in April 2019, [2] replacing Maren Walseth who was fired after the 2018–19 season. [3]

    Scheels Center is a 5,460 seat multi-purpose arena in Fargo, North Dakota. It was built in 1970 and was home to the North Dakota State University Bison women's basketball and wrestling teams through the 2013–14 season. It was previously named the Bison Sports Arena. The main facility was renamed the Sanford Health Athletic Complex and the basketball arena was renamed the Scheels Center. It reopened under the new name for the 2016–17 season.

    The North Dakota State Bison football program represents North Dakota State University in college football at the NCAA Division I Football Championship Subdivision level and competes in the Missouri Valley Football Conference. The Bison play in the 19,000-seat Fargodome located in Fargo. The Bison have won 17 national championships and 37 conference championships. They have won nine NCAA Division I AA FCS National Championships between 2011 and 2021. The Bison hold the record for most overall NCAA national championships and the record for the most consecutive championships with five titles between 2011 and 2015 for Division I FCS.

    The North Dakota State Bison are the athletic teams of North Dakota State University (NDSU), which is located in the city of Fargo, North Dakota. The teams are often called the "Thundering Herd". The current logo is a bison.

    Amy Ruley is a former women's head basketball coach at North Dakota State University. Ruley has the greatest number of victories of any women's coach at NDSU, with over 600 wins, and led the Bison to 5 NCAA Division II championships. She was inducted into the Women's Basketball Hall of Fame in 2004. She is a graduate of Purdue University, where she was a member of the first varsity Purdue Boilermakers team, scoring the program's first points.

    Dacotah Field is an outdoor stadium in the north central United States, on the campus of North Dakota State University (NDSU) in Fargo, North Dakota. The field runs east-west at an approximate elevation of 900 feet (275 m) above sea level.

From 2010 until 2018, Collins was the head coach at Emporia State University. Collins led the Emporia State Lady Hornets to eight consecutive winning seasons. Collins is the second winningest coach in Emporia State history with a record of 199–58 (.774).

They finished the season 7–22, 4–12 in Summit League play to finish in seventh place. They lost in the quarterfinals of the Summit League women's tournament to South Dakota.

The program began its first season in 1965 under head coach Collette Folstad. The current Bison head coach is Jennifer Lopez in her 6th season. Lopez took over after former coach Kari Thompson resigned after the 2016 season.

    The 2019–20 North Dakota State Bison men's basketball team represented North Dakota State University in the 2019–20 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. The Bison, led by sixth-year head coach David Richman, played their home games at the Scheels Center in Fargo, North Dakota as members of the Summit League. They finished the season 25–8, 13–3 in Summit League play to finish in a tie for the Summit League regular season championship. They defeated Denver, Oral Roberts, and North Dakota to become champions of the 2020 Summit League tournament. They earned the Summit League's automatic bid to the NCAA tournament, however, the tournament was cancelled amid the COVID-19 pandemic.

    Tyler Oakes is an American college baseball coach, head coach of the NCAA Division I Summit League's North Dakota State Bison. He was the pitching coach, recruiting coordinator and associate head coach at North Dakota State from 2014 to 2021. Prior to North Dakota State, Oakes was an assistant for South Dakota State and Minnesota.

    NDSU made the Summit League Tournament as the number 6 seed. They were defeated in the first round by Kansas City.

The Bison were led by Darren Mueller in his 18th season, and played their home games at Tharaldson Park. They competed in the Summit League, where they finished the season with a 42–16 record, also finishing 16–2 in conference play.

    The 2022–23 North Dakota State Bison women's basketball team represents North Dakota State University during the 2022–23 NCAA Division I women's basketball season. The Bison, led by 4th year head coach Jory Collins, play their home games at the Scheels Center, as members of the Summit League. After NDSU's win over St. Thomas on February 23, the Bison clinched their highest Division I win count since 2008. The Bison clinched the second seed in the Summit League tournament, the highest mark in a conference tournament since their Division II days.

    The 2023 North Dakota State Bison softball team was an American college softball team that represented North Dakota State University during the 2023 NCAA Division I softball season. The Bison were led by Darren Mueller in his twenty-second season, and played their home games at Tharaldson Park. They competed in the Summit League. The Bison finished the regular season in third place in the conference and claimed the three seed in the 2023 Summit League softball tournament. NDSU beat Kansas City on day 1, but lost to Omaha and South Dakota State on day 2 to be eliminated before the semifinals for the third year in a row.

    The Bison finished the year with a 5–6–6 overall record and a 1–3–4 conference record good enough to finish just outside the 6-team Summit League tournament field.
