Saint Louis School, located in the neighborhood of St. Louis Heights in Honolulu, Hawaii, is a historic Roman Catholic college preparatory school for boys. It was founded in 1846 to serve Catholics in the former Kingdom of Hawaii. Located within the Roman Catholic Diocese of Honolulu, it is affiliated with the Society of Mary, a religious order of brothers and priests called the Marianists who also administer Chaminade University of Honolulu, formerly the college section of Saint Louis School. Charles 'Chuck' Mercein is a former professional American football running back in the National Football League (NFL) for seven seasons for the New York Giants, Green Bay Packers, and New York Jets. He was drafted in the third round, the second player drafted by the New York Giants, the 31st player taken overall in the draft. He led the Giants in rushing in his second season and after an injury was claimed on waivers and joined the Green Bay Packers midway thru the season. As a professional, Mercein is best remembered for his performance in the Packers' game-winning drive in the 1967 NFL Championship Game, known popularly as the "Ice Bowl". Mercein rushed six times for 20 yards, and had two receptions for 22 yards in the "Ice Bowl"; 34 of his total yards were achieved on that game's final and famous 68 yard drive. He most notably raised both of his arms behind Bart Starr who had executed a quarterback sneak to score the game-winning touchdown with 16 seconds remaining in regulation time. Because physically aiding a teammate into the end zone is a penalty, he was indicating to the on-field officials that Starr wasn't pushed forward. He played for the Packers through 1969 and then with the Jets before retiring in 1971. Prior to being with the Jets, he was in Washington Redskins training camp but was released on September 1, 1970.

Laurie Jack Niemi was an American and Canadian football offensive and defensive tackle in the National Football League (NFL) for the Washington Redskins and in the Canadian Football League (CFL) for the BC Lions. After his playing days, he was an assistant coach at the collegiate and professional levels.

Nicholas Albert Giaquinto is a former American football running back in the National Football League (NFL) for the Miami Dolphins and the Washington Redskins, where head coach Joe Gibbs nicknamed him "The Trashman" for his ability to fill many roles on the team. During the 1983 season, Giaquinto played as the first H-Back in NFL history. He played in the 1982 and 1983 Super Bowls with the Redskins and retired after the 1983 season, ending his four-year NFL career. He played college football at the University of Connecticut and the University of Bridgeport. He holds the single-game rushing record at UConn of 277 yards, set in a 1976 game against Holy Cross. He attended Stratford High School in Stratford, Connecticut where he was an All-State and National High School All American selection in football.

Shannon Lynn Clavelle is a former American football defensive end in the National Football League (NFL) for the Green Bay Packers and the Kansas City Chiefs. He played college football at the University of Colorado under head coach Bill McCartney. Clavelle fathered a son, Derek McCartney, with McCartney's daughter, Kristy.
