The following is a list of Real Sporting managers from the beginning of the club's official managerial records in 1921 to the present day. [1]
Since 1921, Real Sporting had, with the current one, 53 managers in all its history. The first coach was Austrian Karl Orth, who spent two years in Gijón. 39 coaches were from Spain and only 14 of them foreign ones.
The club's longest-serving manager in La Liga is José Manuel Díaz Novoa, who had six spells managing the club from 1979 to 1999, totalling 226 league matches, followed by Manolo Preciado with 218 (the manager who coached more games consecutively) and Vicente Miera, with 166.
Only league games are counted, including the playoffs games.

Real Sporting de Gijón, S.A.D., commonly known as Real Sporting, Sporting Gijón, or simply Sporting is a Spanish football club from Gijón, Principality of Asturias. Founded on 1 July 1905, it plays in the Segunda Division. Known as Los Rojiblancos because of their red and white striped jerseys, their home ground is El Molinón stadium, the oldest professional football ground in Spain, in use since at least 1908. Traditionally their red and white shirts are accompanied by blue shorts with the socks recently also being blue. Its Asturian name is Real Sporting de Xixón.

John Richard Greenwell was an English football manager and former player. He is Barcelona's longest serving manager, having coached the club for ten consecutive seasons, later returning to coach for two more seasons in the 1930s. In 1939, Greenwell became the only non-South American coach to date to win the South American Championship when he guided Peru to their first win. He also served as a manager with CD Castellón, RCD Español, Valencia CF, Sporting de Gijón, Real Sociedad Alfonso XIII, Universitario de Deportes and Independiente Santa Fe.
