Valencia has had 60 managers in its history.
The first manager was the Czechoslovak Antonin Fivebr, who was at the club from 1923 until 1927, and in a second stint at the club from 1929 until 1931.
Of the 60 people to have managed Valencia, 35 have been Spaniards and 25 foreigners. In some cases, the Spaniards have been former Valencia players that agreed to take charge after the sacking of the regular manager that season, as were the cases of Eduardo Cubells, Pasieguito or Manolo Mestre.
The main nationalities barring Spaniards have been Argentinian (6 managers), English (4), Italian and Yugoslav (3). The club has also had two Uruguayan managers, two Brazilians, two Dutch, a Paraguayan, a Frenchman, a Serb, a Portuguese and a Czechoslovak. While the origin of the majority of the Spanish managers have been Valencian (9) and Basque (8).

The 1982 Lliga Catalana de Bàsquet was the third edition of the Catalan Basketball League. As a novelty, there was a change in the competition system, dividing into two groups and also for the first time appeared a team of a lower category (Español), since there were only 5 Catalan teams in the first division. The title was won again by FC Barcelona, with an easily winning against the FIBA Korać Cup champions Joventut Fichet in a newly filled Palau dels Esports. Also, for the first time, and as a novelty at that time, Josep Maria Margall was awarded the best player in the competition, who was also the absolute maximum scorer of the competition with 105 points.
The 1983 Lliga Catalana de Bàsquet was the fourth edition of the Catalan Basketball League. A certain disinterest was detected both in the fans and in the clubs as far as the competition was concerned, as it began to make it difficult to agree with pre-season preparation matches. This competition was the last for Cotonificio to play as a professional team, deleting the section for economic reasons once the ACB league started, where the team would play in Santa Coloma de Gramanet as CB Santa Coloma with the sponsorship of Licor 43, dedicating the socio-cultural Badalonina entity to the practice of training basketball and amateur as one more section.

The Trofeo Álava is a basketball friendly competition held in Vitoria-Gasteiz, Basque Country by the local team, Baskonia. It is held in the preseason, usually around late August to early September.
Begoña Blasco is a former Spanish rhythmic gymnast. She won the bronze medal with ribbon at the World Championships in Madrid in 1975. That same year she became the first national champion of Spain.
María Jesús Alegre Etayo, also known as Chus Alegre, is a Spanish former rhythmic gymnast. She achieved, among other medals, the bronze in the general of the World Championship in Madrid in 1975, the first medal in an international competition for the Spanish national team and the only one in the individual All-Around of a World Championship to date. She won another three more medals in that World Cup and was also absolute champion of Spain in 1976 and 1977.
Débora Alonso Herrero is a former Spanish rhythmic gymnast. She was World champion in 1991 with the rest of the Spanish group, in addition to achieving numerous other medals with the Spanish national rhythmic gymnastics team. The generation of gymnasts that she joined is known by the nickname of the "First Golden Girls".
Anastasio Bienzobas Ocáriz, also known as Cuqui Bienzobas was a Spanish footballer in the 1930s and 1940s, in which he played for Real Sociedad, Club Atlético Osasuna and Deportivo de la Coruña. He played in the midfield position. He was known by his nickname, Cuqui, to distinguish him from his brothers Custodio and Paco, soccer players with whom he met at Real Sociedad and Osasuna. After his retirement as a footballer, he was a coach, managing Deportivo de la Coruña, CA Osasuna, SD Eibar and Pontevedra CF.
