The TG4 Lifetime Achievement Award is given annually as part of Gradam Ceoil TG4. The award is to recognise a musician who has had a profound effect on the traditional Irish music world and promoted traditional music in a positive way. [1] [2]

Bobby Gardiner is an Irish accordionist and lilter. He was recruited by Micheal O'Suilleabhain to the Music Department in University College Cork where he has been teaching traditional music for the last 25 years.

Páidí Ó Lionáird is an Irish television presenter and columnist from Cúil Aodha, County Cork. Since 1997, Ó Lionáird has been the presenter of current affairs and entertainment shows on the Irish language channel TG4.

Seán McKiernan is an Irish traditional musician of Carna, County Galway who plays the uilleann pipes. He was named TG4 Traditional Musician of the Year at the Gradam Ceoil of 2010. He came from an Irish speaking family of Boston, but has lived in Ireland since 1965.

James Kelly is an Irish fiddler, composer, collector, researcher and teacher from Dublin. He is the son of County Clare fiddler, John Kelly, and has played with various groups including Patrick Street and Planxty. Kelly has been described by The Journal of Music as "one of the greatest Irish traditional fiddlers alive today" and by Cathy Benton, Professor of Music at Missouri Baptist University, as "one of the top 10 fiddlers in the world".

Sarah Ann O'Neill, was a well known and significant Irish traditional singer.

TG4's Gradam Ceoil was set up in 1998 with the purpose of recognising the various musicians and organisations who are significant in the creation of Irish Traditional music and in developing both the music and other musicians in Ireland and around the world. It is considered the premier Traditional Irish Music Award event.

Liam O'Connor is an Irish fiddler, collector, researcher and teacher from County Dublin. He is the current director of the Irish Traditional Music Archive (ITMA). O'Connor has been described by The Journal of Music as "one of the outstanding fiddle-players of his generation".

Josephine Marsh is an Irish traditional composer as well as playing the accordion, fiddle, concertina, whistle, mandolin, guitar and banjo.
