A tornado, also known as lốc xoáy or vòi rồng in Vietnamese, is a violently rotating column of air that descends to the ground. The earliest recorded tornado in Vietnam occurred in Nghệ An, 1965. Tornadoes in Vietnam are not rated on any scale.
