Bahçeşehir University (BAU) is a private educational institution in Turkey, located around the Bosporus in Istanbul. The Turkish National Assembly authorized the establishment of the University of Bahçeşehir by the Bahçeşehir Uğur Education Foundation in 1998. An academic and strategic protocol was signed shortly after with San Diego State University in California, USA. The enrollment of the first students was made after the first placement exam (ÖSYS) in the 1999–2000 academic year. The university is one of the few universities in Turkey which has its lectures in English and therefore students applying to BAU are required to have high English proficiency.
Doğu Perinçek is a Turkish politician, doctor of law and former communist revolutionary who has been chairman of the left-wing nationalist Patriotic Party since 2015. He was also a member of the Talat Pasha Committee, an organization that denies the Armenian genocide. Politically, he favors close relations with China and is strongly anti-American.

As of July 2023, there are more than 3,300,000 registered refugees of the Syrian Civil War in Turkey, which hosts the biggest refugee population in the whole world. In addition, about 90,000 Syrian nationals reside in Turkey with a residence permit. Apart from Syrian refugees under temporary protection and Syrian citizens with a residence permit; 230,998 Syrian nationals, primarily of Turkish descent acquired Turkish citizenship as of April 2023.
The 50th Anniversary of the Republic Sculptures are 20 sculptures erected in Istanbul that were created by selected Turkish sculptors to mark the 50th anniversary of the Turkish Republic. The sculptures were erected in various parks and squares in Istanbul in around 1973. Many of them were damaged, destroyed, lost, or moved, and only a handful remain today.
Eskişehir Technical University (ESTU) is a state technical university in Turkey. On May 18, 2018, it started to provide education in Eskişehir with five faculties, three institutes and two vocational schools in two different campuses. As of 2019, the university continues its education with 1,317 staff and more than 12,000 students.
Mehmet Muş is a Turkish politician and economist, who was a Deputy in the Turkish Parliament for Istanbul and has represented Samsun since the 2023 Turkish parliamentary election. He also served as the Turkish Minister of Trade from 2021 to 2023.
