Physically bridging Europe and Asia, Turkey is a secular country that has pursued a Western-oriented foreign policy. To this end, Turkey uses its global diplomatic network—the fourth most extensive—of 246 diplomatic and consular missions.

Turkey is a founding member of the United Nations, the Organisation of the Islamic Conference, the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development and the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe, has been in the Council of Europe since 1949, and in NATO since 1952. The economy of Northern Cyprus is dominated by the services sector, which includes the public sector, trade, tourism and education. Industry contributes 22% of GDP and agriculture 9%. Northern Cyprus's economy operates on a free-market basis, with a significant portion of administration costs funded by Turkey. Northern Cyprus uses the Turkish lira as its currency, which links its economic situation to the economy of Turkey.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">Ministry of Foreign Affairs (Turkey)</span> Government ministry of the Republic of Turkey

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs is the governmental body responsible for conducting foreign relations of the Republic of Turkey. The Ministry is responsible for Turkey's diplomatic missions abroad and for the promotion of Turkish culture, as well as for implementing the country's foreign policy in accordance with its national interests. Established on 2 May 1920, its primary duties are administering diplomatic missions, negotiating international treaties and agreements, and representing the Republic of Turkey at the United Nations. The ministry is headquartered in the Turkish capital of Ankara and counts on more than 200 missions as embassies, permanent representation offices and consulates general, abroad. As of 2021, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs maintains 235 diplomatic posts worldwide. The current Minister of Foreign Affairs is Hakan Fidan, who has held the position since 3 June 2023.

Foreign relations of Kosovo are accomplished by efforts of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kosovo. Kosovo operates 33 embassies abroad and is host to 22 embassies in Pristina. Kosovo has membership in several international organisations.

Ireland–Turkey relations are the bilateral relations between Ireland and Turkey. Formal relations were established in 1972. Ireland's embassy in Ankara was opened in 1998. Turkey has had an embassy in Dublin since 1973. Both countries are full members of the Council of Europe, the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD), the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE), the Union for the Mediterranean and the World Trade Organization (WTO). Furthermore, Ireland is a member of the European Union while Turkey is a candidate.

The Daily Sabah is a Turkish pro-government daily newspaper, published in Turkey. Available in English, Arabic, and owned by Turkuvaz Media Group, Daily Sabah published its first issue on 24 February 2014. The editor-in-chief is Ibrahim Altay.

Burkina Faso–Turkey relations are the foreign relations between Burkina Faso and Turkey. Turkey and Burkina Faso enjoy strong and friendly bilateral relations. Bilateral relations gained momentum after the opening of the Turkish Embassy in Ouagadougou and the Embassy of Burkina Faso in Ankara in 2012 and in 2014 respectively.

Ziya Müezzinoğlu (1919–2020) was a Turkish economist, diplomat and politician. He held various posts, including ambassador of Turkey to West Germany and minister of finance.

Halit Bozkurt Aran is a Turkish diplomat and academic. He currently teaches at TOBB Economics and Technology University, in the Department of International Relations.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">Faruk Kaymakcı</span> Turkish diplomat (born 1968)

Faruk Kaymakcı is a Turkish diplomat. He served as Turkey’s deputy minister of foreign affairs and director for EU affairs and currently serves as a permanent delegate of the Republic of Turkey to the European Union. He is also a former ambassador of Turkey to Iraq.
