Samogitia Lithuanian ethnographic region

Samogitia or Žemaitija is one of the five ethnographic regions of Lithuania and formerly one of the 2 core administrative divisions of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania alongside Lithuania Proper. Žemaitija is located in northwestern Lithuania. Its largest city is Šiauliai. Žemaitija has a long and distinct cultural history, reflected in the existence of the Samogitian dialect.

Lithuania attracts many visitors from neighbouring countries and all over the world. In 2018, 1,7 million foreign visitors arrived to Lithuania for business, family and leisure. Historical legacy of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania, rich history, architecture, pristine nature, seaside and SPA resorts are the main attraction points of Lithuania. Domestic tourism is also highly popular - in 2018 it grew by 12% percent. Lithuanians also prefer to spend their vacations in Lithuania - 70 percent.

Kretinga Museum

The Kretinga Museum, also known as Kretinga Manor, is located near the Baltic Sea in Kretinga, Lithuania. Originally a private estate, it was converted to a museum in 1992, and now contains a number of archeological finds, fine and applied art collections, folk art, and ethnographic exhibits, as well as a restored orangery. Nearby is a sculpture garden featuring a reconstruction of a Lithuanian solar calendar. The museum is operated by the Kretinga district municipality.

Parbėg laivelis is an international folk festival in Klaipėda, Lithuania. The festival is held once every two years, in June or July. Its name Parbėg laivelis could be translated as Little ship is coming back.

1997–98 Lithuanian presidential election

Presidential elections were held in Lithuania in December 1997 and January 1998. In the first round on 21 December, the independent candidate Artūras Paulauskas led the former U.S. civil servant Valdas Adamkus but neither received a majority of the vote, resulting in a run-off being held on 4 January 1998, in which Adamkus defeated Paulauskas.

The 2010–11 Lithuanian Hockey League season was the 20th season of the Lithuanian Hockey League. Sporto Centras Elektrenai won the championship for the second season in a row. The league was divided into A and B divisions. 10 teams participated in the A Division, and 17 teams played in the B Division. Bizonai Kaunas won the B Division.

2016 Karaliaus Mindaugo taurė

The 2016 Karaliaus Mindaugo taurė, also known as KIDY Tour – Karaliaus Mindaugo taurė for sponsorship purposes, was the first edition of the newly formed Lithuanian King Mindaugas Cup. It's managed by the Lithuanian Basketball League and the Lithuanian Basketball Federation. The competition was held in Vilnius, in the Siemens Arena on February 19–21, 2016.
