Tamás László Fellegi is a Hungarian politician, jurist, political scientist, businessman, who served as Minister of National Development in Viktor Orbán's government from May 29, 2010 to December 14, 2011. After that he was a minister without portfolio in Orbán II Cabinet. Between 1996 and 2000 Sectoral Director, then CEE of Legal and Governmental Affairs of Hungarian Telecom. Currently, he is Managing Partner of EuroAtlantic Solutions, an international consultancy firm. In 2013, EuroAtlantic Solutions joined the Prime Policy Group consortium and registered as a foreign agent at the U.S. Department of Justice under the Foreign Agent Registration Act for its US-based activities political activities carried out on behalf of the Hungarian government. Fellegi also serves as president of the Hungary Initiatives Foundation, a foundation created in November 2013 at the order Hungary's Prime Minister Viktor Orbán.
Dr. Gusztáv Bölcskei is a Hungarian Reformed bishop and a theologian. He is the former clerical president of the Synod of the Reformed Church in Hungary and bishop of Debrecen. Bölcskei is Executive Committee Member of the World Communion of Reformed Churches, former president of WCRC Europe, and a professor of church sociology at Debrecen Reformed Theological University.
Royal free city or free royal city was the official term for the most important cities in the Kingdom of Hungary from the late 12th century until the Hungarian Revolution of 1848. These cities were granted certain privileges by the king to rule out the possibility of the control of the Hungarian nobility, hence "royal", and exercised some self-government in relation to their internal affairs, hence "free". From the late 14th century, the elected envoys of the Royal free cities participated in the sessions of the Hungarian parliament, thus they became part of the legislature. The list include also cities in the Kingdom of Croatia and the Banate of Bosnia, which were part of the Lands of the Hungarian Crown.
Médiaszolgáltatás-támogató és Vagyonkezelő Alap (MTVA) is a Hungarian fund company owned and financed by the Hungarian state, through the National Media and Infocommunications Authority. MTVA was established on 1 January 2011, and from July 2015 the company's main task has been to finance and operate Duna Média, Hungary's state public company. Buddhism in Hungary has existed since 1951 when Ernő Hetényi founded the Buddhist Mission in Germany, as a member of the Arya Maitreya Mandala Buddhist order. However, the first Buddhist community had been founded in the 1890s in Máramarossziget. József Hollósy took refuge and wrote Buddhista Kátét (1893) — the first Buddhist catechism in Hungarian. According to this, the Dharma has been present in Hungary for more than a century. In 1933 the Hungarian philologist and Orientalist — author of the first Tibetan-English dictionary and grammar book Sándor Kőrösi Csoma — was recognised as a bodhisattva in Japan. In Hungary József Hollósy is regarded as the second bodhisattva.
The COVID-19 pandemic in Hungary was a part of the worldwide pandemic of coronavirus disease 2019 caused by severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2. On 4 March 2020, the first cases in Hungary were announced. The first coronavirus-related death was announced on 15 March on the government's official website.
