Rajbiraj is a mid-sized municipality located in the south-eastern part of Madhesh Province of Nepal. Rajbiraj is the district headquarters of Saptari and is the eighth largest city in the province. The township of Rajbiraj was designed in 1938 based on influence from the Indian city of Jaipur - thus making it the first township in Nepal to receive urban planning. City Transferred from old district headquarter Hanumannagar to Rajbiraj. It was declared a municipality in 1959. According to the 2011 census, the city had a population of 37,738 but the latest population is estimated to be 69,803 making it the 33rd largest municipality in Nepal. The city area is spread over 55.64 km2 (21.48 sq mi) and comprises 16 wards.

Saptari, a part of Madhesh Province, is one of the seventy-seven districts of Nepal. Its district headquarter is Rajbiraj. Saptari is an Outer Terai district. This district covers an area of 1,363 km2 (526 sq mi) and has a population (2011) of 639,284 which makes it the 10th most populated district of Nepal. Saptari is renowned for its agricultural output, and is bordered on the east by the massive Sapta Koshi river.

After becoming a republic in 2008, the Mahendranagar municipality name was changed to Bhimdatta municipality in honour of the revolutionary farmer leader Bhimdatta Panta. It is surrounded by Bedkot Municipality in the east, Dadeldhura District in the north, Shuklaphanta National Park in the south and Uttarakhand, India in the west.

Triyuga is one of eight municipalities of Udayapur district of the Koshi Pradesh of Nepal. Gaighat is the headquarter of the municipality. According to the 1991 Nepal census, it had a population of 55,291. According to the 2011 Nepal census, Triyuga had 87,557 inhabitants. According to the 2021 Nepal census the initial population of the municipality is 104,375. It is divided into 16 wards. Triyuga Municipality was established on B.S. Chaitra 13, 2053. It was named after Triyuga River. A river which flows through the town. Triyuga is the 3rd largest municipality in Nepal and 1st largest in Koshi Pradesh in term of size (area). The total area of the municipality is 547.43 square kilometres (211.36 sq mi)

Siraha is the headquarters and municipality of Siraha District, a part of Madhesh Province, Nepal. Siraha had a population of 28,442 according to the census of 2011. and a population of 82,531 as of 2015. The current population of Siraha municipality as of census 2022, is 96,543. It has a male population of 47,306 and female population of 49,237. The present mayor of Siraha Municipality is Dr. Nabin Kumar Yadav and Deputy Mayor is Babita Kumari Sah. Both assumed office on 25 May 2022. His predecessor mayor was Asheswor Yadav and the deputy mayor was Dr. Namita Yadav. Both assumed office on 25 September 2017 and their last working day was on 24 May 2022. The town is at 80 metres (260 ft) altitude, 29 kilometres (18 mi) ESE of Janakpur.

Koteshwor is a place, located in Kathmandu District. In 1991, Kathmandu Metropolitan City was expanded by incorporating Koteshwor as Ward No. 32. It encompasses 395 hectares and is bounded by the Manohara river in the east and south, the Bagmati river in the west, and share borders with Gothatar in the north, Madhyapur Thimi municipality of Bhaktapur District in east and Lalitpur metropolitan city in the south. With respect to basic services, almost all homes in the ward have access to electricity, but the same cannot be said about drinking water. At the time of the 1991 Nepal census it had a population of 5,787 living in 1,154 households. The ward contains 8,716 households. The population in 2001 was 35,184.

Hariwan Municipality is one of the new municipalities declared by the Government of Nepal on May 18, 2014. It is located in Sarlahi District Janakpur zone, Nepal. It is formed by the joining of four contemporary Village development committees (VDCs) namely Atrouli, Sasapur, Ghurkauli and Harion VDCs covering an area of 88.1 km2. It has been divided into 11 wards with an administration center in Harion Bazar. According to Nepal Population Census 2011, the municipality has a total population of 42,783.

Kataiya ( ) is a village development committee (VDC) in the central part of Saptari in the Sagarmatha Zone of south-eastern part of Nepal. This VDC is about 5km south of Rupani bazaar, a bazaar through which the East-West Highway passes and about 15km north of Indo-Nepal border. It is about 8km north-west of the headquarter of Saptari district as well as Sagarmatha zone, Rajbiraj. The VDC comprises 9 wards. It lies in Illaka No. 11. On the basis of 2011AD. census, there are 9,554 population living in about 1,500 individuals houses.

Premier Secondary School is a boarding school in Rajbiraj, Nepal. The school was established in 1998. The founder of the school is Rajesh Karna. The school has around 500 students. It is one of the school who produces reasonable percentage of results in School Leaving Certificate exams. Abhishek Shrivastav from the school topped Saptari district in SLC 2072 BS and get awarded by PABSON. The school provides qualitative education to all the studying students.

Agnisaira Krishnasavaran is a rural municipality in Saptari District in the Sagarmatha Zone of south-eastern Nepal. At the time of the 2017 Nepal census it had a population of 27,129 people living in 2265 individual households.
