Moses Fasanya was a Nigerian colonel from Ibadan, Oyo State who served as Military Administrator of Abia State during the military regime of General Sani Abacha. He then became Military Administrator of Ondo State in August 1998, handing over power to the civilian governor Adebayo Adefarati in May 1999.
Oladayo Popoola is a Nigerian retired major-general who was military governor of Oyo State during the military regime of Major-General Muhammadu Buhari, He was then appointed Military Governor of Ogun State during the military regime of General Ibrahim Babangida.
Air Vice Marshal Gregory Agboneni is a former Nigerian soldier and military administrator of Adamawa and Cross River states.
Police Commissioner Mustapha Ismail was Administrator of Kwara State from December 1993 to September 1994, and was later Military Administrator of Adamawa State between August 1996 and August 1998 during the military regime of General Sani Abacha.
Aminu Isa Kontagora was a Nigerian politician who served as the Governor of Benue State, Nigeria, from August 1996 to August 1998 during the military regime of General Sani Abacha, then Governor of Kano State from September 1998 to May 1999 during the transitional regime of General Abdulsalami Abubakar, handing over power to the elected executive governor Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso on 29 May 1999.
Dominic Obukadata Oneya was Administrator of Kano State, Nigeria from August 1996 to August 1998 during the military regime of General Sani Abacha, then Administrator of Benue State from August 1998 to May 1999 during the transitional regime of General Abdulsalami Abubakar, handing over power to the elected executive governor George Akume on 29 May 1999. Later, he became Chairman of the Nigeria Football Association.
Group Captain Joshua Obademi was Administrator of Benue State, Nigeria from December 1993 to August 1996 during the military regime of General Sani Abacha.
Brigadier General Samuel Bature Chamah was Administrator of Katsina State in Nigeria from August 1996 to August 1998 during the military regime of General Sani Abacha, and then of Kebbi State from August 1998 to May 1999 during the transitional regime of General Abdulsalami Abubakar, handing over power to the elected civilian governor Adamu Aliero on 29 May 1999.
Navy Commander (retired) Walter Feghabo served as the first Military Administrator of Ebonyi State in Nigeria between October 1996 and August 1998 after Ebonyi State was created from parts of Enugu State and Abia State during the military regime of General Sani Abacha. He was then appointed administrator of Delta State in August 1998 during the transitional regime of General Abdulsalami Abubakar, handing over to the elected civilian governor James Ibori on 29 May 1999. In June 1999, all former military administrators in the Abacha and Abubakar regimes were retired by the Federal Government, including Walter Feghabo.
Colonel Umar Farouk Ahmed was Military Administrator of Cross River State, Nigeria during the military regime of General Sani Abacha. He was then appointed administrator of Kaduna State in August 1998 during the transitional regime of General Abdulsalami Abubakar, handing over power to the elected civilian governor Ahmed Mohammed Makarfi in May 1999. Shortly after, he was retired by the Federal Government, along with all other former military ministers, governors and administrators.
Mohammed Chris Alli is a retired Nigerian Army major general who served as Chief of Army Staff from 1993 to 1994 under General Sani Abacha's regime and was military governor of Plateau State Nigeria from August 1985 to 1986 during the military regime of General Ibrahim Babangida. Many years later, he was appointed interim administrator of the state during a 2004 crisis in the state following ethno-religious killings in Shendam, Yelwa Local Government.
Wing Commander (retired) Abdul Adamu Mshelia was Administrator of Bauchi State, Nigeria from August 1998 to May 1999 during the transitional regime of General Abdulsalami Abubakar. When he took over Bauchi only three the 20 local government areas had electricity. Mshelia made few improvements during his brief term in office, but managed the elections for the first administration of the Nigerian Fourth Republic successfully, handing over to Alhaji Ahmadu Adamu Mu'azu on the 29 May 1999. In June 1999 Mshelia was required to retire, as were all former military administrators.
Emmanuel A. Acholonu is a retired Commodore in the Nigerian Navy and the former Administrator of Katsina State in Nigeria from December 1993 to August 1996 during the military regime of General Sani Abacha.
General Ibrahim Babangida became head of state after a coup on 27 August 1985, replacing General Muhammadu Buhari. In September 1987 Babangida created Akwa Ibom State from part of Cross River State and Katsina State from part of Kaduna State. In August 1991 he created eleven more states. He arranged for elections for states governors in 1991, with the military governors handing over to elected civilian governors in January 1992 at the start of the Nigerian Third Republic.
