The mayor of Bandung is an elected politician who is responsible of governing the city of Bandung. The first mayor of Bandung was E.A. Maurenbrecher, who governed the city during the Dutch colonisation period from 1906 to 1907. Since then, Bandung has been governed by 29 mayors and 6 vice mayors. [1]

The Mayor of Johannesburg is the highest elected position in the city of Johannesburg, South Africa. Since 2000, they are the chief executive of the City of Johannesburg Metropolitan Municipality council. The position remained vacant from 24 April 2023, when Thapelo Amad announced his resignation after less than three months in office. On 16 August 2024, the council elected Dada Morero to the position.
The Central League was a minor league baseball league that operated sporadically in 1900, from 1903–1917, 1920–1922, 1926, 1928–1930, 1934, and 1948–1951. In 1926, the league merged mid-season with the Michigan State League and played under that name for the remainder of the season. The Central League later reformed in 1928.
The Mako Guard District was the major navy base for the Imperial Japanese Navy in Taiwan before and during World War II. Located in Mako 23°35′24″N119°34′05″E,, the Mako Guard District was responsible for control of the strategic Straits of Taiwan and for patrols along the Taiwan and China coastlines and in the South China Sea. It was disbanded in 1943, and reestablished as the Takao Guard District at Takao on the Taiwan main island.
