Mersin İdmanyurdu has finished 2007–08 TFF Second League Promotion Group at 2nd place and directly promoted to 2009–10 TFF First League season.

The Port of Mersin, is a major seaport located on the north-eastern coast of Mediterranean Sea in Mersin, southern Turkey. As one of the largest harbors in the country, it is Turkey's main gateway to the Mediterranean Sea. It was constructed during the 1950s as a major government project. It is the country's second largest port after Ambarli, near Istanbul. Owned by the Turkish State Railways (TCDD), its operating right is transferred on May 11, 2007, to PSA – Akfen consortium for a period of 36 years.

MİY could not attend promotion group and promotion play-offs, therefore couldn't promote. The team also participated in Turkish Cup in 1999–00 and eliminated at Round 3.

The Turkish local elections of 2019 were held on Sunday 31 March 2019 throughout the 81 provinces of Turkey. A total of 30 metropolitan and 1,351 district municipal mayors, alongside 1,251 provincial and 20,500 municipal councillors were elected, in addition to numerous local non-partisan positions such as neighbourhood representatives (muhtars) and elderly people's councils.

Beren Yeşilırmak is a Turkish female volleyball player. She is 186 cm (6.10 ft) tall at 61 kg (134 lb) and plays in the Wing-Spiker position. She plays for Çukurova Belediyesi Adana Demirspor.

The 2022–23 Turkish Cup was the 61st season of the tournament. Ziraat Bank was the sponsor of the tournament, thus the sponsored name was Ziraat Turkish Cup. The winners earned a berth in the second qualifying round of the 2023–24 UEFA Europa Conference League, and also qualified for the 2023 Turkish Super Cup.

The 2023–24 TFF Second League is the 23rd season of the third-level football league of Turkey since the league was established in 2001.
