Cro's live album MTV Unplugged topped the charts for six non-consecutive weeks.

The official German hip hop album charts are record charts compiled by GfK Entertainment GmbH on behalf of Bundesverband Musikindustrie (Federal Association of Phonographic Industry). The hip hop charts only include albums and were introduced on 1 April 2015. [1] [2] The chart week runs from Friday to Thursday with the official chart being published on the following Monday. [3] The charts are based on sales of physical albums from retail outlets as well as permanent music downloads and streaming. [4]

In 2015, 27 albums reached the top of the chart.

Morcheeba English electronic band

Morcheeba are an English electronic band formed in the mid-1990s with founding members vocalist Skye Edwards and the brothers Paul and Ross Godfrey. They mix influences from trip hop, rock, folk rock and downtempo, and have produced ten regular studio albums since 1995, two of which reached the UK top ten. Edwards left the band in 2003, after which the brothers used a number of singers before she rejoined in 2009. They recruit additional members for their live performances and have toured internationally. In 2014 Paul Godfrey resigned from the band. Edwards and Ross Godfrey later formed Skye & Ross and released a self-titled album in September 2016. Their latest studio album as Morcheeba, Blackest Blue, was released in May 2021 and was preceded by singles "Sounds of Blue", "Oh Oh Yeah" and "The Moon". It features collaborations with Brad Barr from The Barr Brothers, and Duke Garwood, whom Edwards described as "a diamond geezer".

In 2016, he premiered his first studio album Kuku Bra which debuted at number 32 on the German and at number 61 on the Austrian album charts. In February 2017, Capital Bra released his second studio album Makarov Komplex which peaked within the top five in Austria, Germany and in Switzerland, spawning four singles of which "Es geht ums Geschäft" entered the charts at number 76 in Germany. The limited box set of Makarov Komplex included his first EP Oh Kolleg. In May of the same year, he distributed his second EP Ibrakadabra to minor commercial success in Switzerland.

Palmen aus Plastik 2 is the second collaborative studio album by German rapper Bonez MC and Austrian rapper RAF Camora, released on 5 October 2018 through Vertigo Berlin and Capitol. It was also made available as a limited edition box set on the same date. Prior to the album, the rappers collaborated on Palmen aus Plastik (2016). Palmen aus Plastik 2 debuted at number one on the German, Swiss and Austrian album charts. The album was certified Gold by Bundesverband Musikindustrie (BVMI) and IFPI Austria. As of November 2018, the record was certified for 107,500 album-equivalent units in German-speaking Europe.

Allein ("alone") is the fifth studio album by German rapper Capital Bra, released on 2 November 2018, through EGJ and distributed by Sony Music, digitally. Upon its release, the album debuted within the top five in German-speaking Europe. Four tracks of the album were released as singles, with "Roli Glitzer Glitzer" reaching No. 1 in Germany. It was digitally released on 29 January 2016, through Baba City, Chapter One and distributed by the Universal Music Group. The album was promoted by four singles: "Bra macht die Uzi", "Kuku Habibi", "Fluchtwagen glänzen".
