The song's working title was the more festive and humorous "Daddy Don't Get Drunk on Christmas Day". As a single, the English version originally had a only very limited release in December 1980. BQL are a Slovene duo from Prevalje founded in 2016. It consists of two brothers; Rok and Anej Piletič. They are the first domestic artists at the Slovenian official singles charts SloTop50, who managed to hit the peak chart positions with two singles: one week with "Muza" and four weeks with "Heart of Gold".
