Todor Aleksandrov Poporushov, best known as Todor Alexandrov, also spelt as Alexandroff, was a Bulgarian revolutionary, army officer, politician and teacher. He favored initially the annexation of Macedonia to Bulgaria, but later switched to the idea of an Independent Macedonia as a second Bulgarian state on the Balkans. Alexandrov was a member of the Internal Macedonian-Adrianople Revolutionary Organisation (IMARO) and later of the Central Committee of the Internal Macedonian Revolutionary Organisation (IMRO).

<span class="mw-page-title-main">Goumenissa</span> Municipal unit in Greece

Goumenissa is a small traditional town in the Kilkis regional unit, Central Macedonia, Greece. It was the capital of the former Paionia Province. Since the 2011 local government reform it is part of the municipality Paionia, of which it is a community and a municipal unit. The municipal unit has an area of 208.949 km2. The 2021 census recorded 3,292 residents in the community and 5,157 residents in the municipal unit. The town sits on the southeastern part of the Paiko mountain range. Located 69 km northwest of Thessaloniki, 539 km north of Athens and 20 km north of Pella, the ancient capital of the kingdom of Macedon. Goumenissa is the seat of the Greek Orthodox diocese of Goumenissa, Axioupoli and Polykastro.

The Macedonian-Adrianopolitan Volunteer Corps was a volunteer corps of the Bulgarian Army during the Balkan Wars. It was formed on 23 September 1912 and consisted of Bulgarian volunteers from Macedonia and Thrace, regions still under Ottoman rule, and thus not subject to Bulgarian military service.

Kalochori is also located 14 kilometers away from the city of Kastoria and 14 kilometers away from the village of Nestorio. It was a part of the former municipal unit of Mesopotamia. The village has an elevation of 721 meters above sea level.

It is situated at the western foothills of the Rila Mountains on the banks of the Rilska River. Between 1974 and 1991 it was administratively a neighbourhood of the town of Kocherinovo.

Vasil Hristov Chekalarov or Vasil Tcakalarov was a Bulgarian revolutionary and one of the leaders of Internal Macedonian Revolutionary Organisation in Macedonia. H. N. Brailsford described Chekalarov as the "cruel but competent general" of the Southern insurgents in Macedonia. He considered the adherents of Macedonist ideas to be Grecomans.

Buchino is a sparsely inhabited village in Blagoevgrad Municipality, in Blagoevgrad Province, Bulgaria. It is situated on the foothills of Vlahina mountain 13 kilometers northwest of Blagoevgrad.

Belevehchevo is a village in Sandanski Municipality, Blagoevgrad Province, south-western Bulgaria and as of 2013 has only 1 inhabitant. It lies at the south-western foothills of the Pirin mountains facing the Sandanski-Petrich Valley. It is located at about 1 km east of the municipal centre Sandanski and some 124 km south of the national capital Sofia.

Before the 2011 local government reform it was part of the municipality of Vertiskos, of which it was a municipal district. The 2021 census recorded 486 inhabitants in the community of Ossa. The community of Ossa covers an area of 59.12 km2.

Buranovo is a village in Kocherinovo Municipality, Kyustendil Province, south-western Bulgaria. As of 2013 it has 152 inhabitants. It is situated close to the right bank of the Struma River just south of the village of Borovets, at some 2 km to the north-west of the municipal centre Kocherinovo.
