List of sovereign states by market capitalization of listed domestic companies

This is a list of countries ranked by the market capitalization of listed domestic companies, which is simply the sum of market capitalizations of all domestic public companies listed in stock exchanges present in that country. As inferred from the table, the United States is the leading country in terms of market capitalization of listed domestic companies, which stood at $30.4 trillion in the year 2018. [1]

The Stock Exchange of Thailand is the only stock exchange in Thailand. Founded on 30 April 1975, it is ASEAN's 3rd largest after Indonesia Stock Exchange and Singapore Exchange by market capitalization at US$489.95 billion as of November 2023. From 2015 to June 2020, it was the biggest IPO market in Southeast Asia in terms of accumulated raised fund at US$17.8 billion. It is also the region's most active bourse for 10 consecutive years with daily trading turnover normally exceeding US$2 billion.

The IBEX 35 is the benchmark stock market index of the Bolsa de Madrid, Spain's principal stock exchange. Initiated in 1992, the index is administered and calculated by Sociedad de Bolsas, a subsidiary of Bolsas y Mercados Españoles (BME), the company which runs Spain's securities markets. It is a market capitalization weighted index comprising the 35 most liquid Spanish stocks traded in the Madrid Stock Exchange General Index and is reviewed twice annually. Trading on options and futures contracts on the IBEX 35 is provided by MEFF, another subsidiary of BME.

Ho Chi Minh Stock Exchange, formerly the HCMC Securities Trading Center (HoSTC), is a stock exchange in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. It was established in 1998 under Decision No. 127/1998/QD-TTg of the Prime Minister of Vietnam. HCM Securities Trading Center officially opened on July 20, 2000, and had its first trading session on July 28, 2000, with two listed companies and six security company members.

The FT Global 500 is an annual snapshot of the world's largest companies to show how corporate fortunes have changed in the past year, highlighting relative performance of countries and sectors. The companies are ranked by market capitalization. The greater the stock market value of a company, the higher its ranking. Market cap is the share price multiplied by the number of shares issued.
