The University of Toulouse is a community of universities and establishments (ComUE) based in Toulouse, France. Originally it was established in 1229, making it one of the earliest universities to emerge in Europe. Suppressed during the French Revolution in 1793, it was refounded in 1896 as part of the reorganization of higher education. It was finally abolished in 1969, giving birth to the three current universities: Toulouse 1 Capitole University, University of Toulouse-Jean Jaurès and Toulouse III - Paul Sabatier University. The ComUE in the Toulouse region was known as Federal University of Toulouse Midi-Pyrénées. On January 1, 2023, the university was renamed as the University of Toulouse.

The University of the Mediterranean Aix-Marseille II was a French university in the Academy of Aix and Marseille. Cergy-Pontoise University was a French university, located in Cergy-Pontoise, France. On 1 January 2020, the university merged with the International School of Information Processing Sciences (EISTI) and the University of Paris-Seine to form CY Cergy Paris University.

Started as the Paris-Seine initiative, it was renamed to University of Paris-Seine in 2015 according to the 2013 Law on Higher Education and Research (France).
The University of Koudougou is one of three public universities in Burkina Faso. It is located in the city of Koudougou. As of 2015/2016 it had the second highest enrollment of students nationally (16.2%) behind the University of Ouagadougou which had 32.8% of the national total enrollment. The University Ouaga 2, the University of Bobo-Dioulasso and the "Institut des Sciences (IDS)" had 13.2%, 11.3%, and 1.9% of total university enrollment, respectively. The remaining 24.5% of enrollment are in private universities. The university was founded in 2005 and in 2015/2016 had 15,346 students.;
COUPERIN is an academic consortium in France. Formed in 1999, it includes more than 250 universities, research organizations, Grandes écoles (schools), COMUE, and others. The consortium negotiates with publishers the prices and conditions of access to scientific publications and other digital resources for the benefit of its members. It promotes open science, particularly with regard to scientific publications, both nationally and internationally. It is headquartered in Paris.
CY Cergy Paris University is a public university located in Cergy-Pontoise, France. It was officially announced in October 2019 by the décret that the university would be founded by combining other institutions on 1 January 2020. The official status of the university is an experimental institution.
