Massachusetts General Hospital conducts the largest hospital-based research program in the world, with an annual research budget of more than $1 billion in 2019. Mahidol University

Mahidol University (Mahidol), an autonomous research institution in Thailand, had its origin in the establishment of Siriraj Hospital in 1888. Mahidol had an acceptance rate for Medicine of 0.4% as of the 2016 academic year. Becoming the University of Medical Science in 1943, it has been recognized as the country's fourth public university. The university was later renamed in 1969 by King Bhumibol Adulyadej after his father, Prince Mahidol of Songkhla, the "Father of Modern Medicine and Public Health of Thailand". The university originally focused on health sciences but expanded to other fields in recent decades. It hosted Thailand's first medical school, the Siriraj Medical School. Today, Mahidol offers a range of graduate and undergraduate programs from natural sciences to liberal arts with remote campuses in Kanchanaburi, Nakhon Sawan, and Amnat Charoen provinces. There are a total of 629 programs offered from 17 faculties, 6 colleges, 9 research institutions and 6 campuses. In terms of fiscal budget and portion of budget spent on research programs, the university receives the highest budget of any public university in Thailand: $430 million in 2019, most of which is granted for graduate research programs. Mahidol University was ranked Thailand's #1 university in 2011 by QS Asian University Rankings.

The University of California, San Francisco Medical Center is a research and teaching hospital in San Francisco, California and is the medical center of the University of California, San Francisco. It is affiliated with the UCSF School of Medicine. In 2021–22, it was ranked as the 9th-best overall hospital in the United States and the third best hospital in California by U.S. News & World Report.

The University of Bedfordshire is a public research university with campuses in Bedfordshire and Buckinghamshire, England. The University has roots from 1882, however, it gained university status in 1993 as the University of Luton. The University changed its name to the University of Bedfordshire in 2006 by the approval of the Privy Council, following the merger of the University of Luton and the Bedford campus of De Montfort University.

The Webometrics Ranking of World Universities, also known as Ranking Web of Universities, is a ranking system for the world's universities based on a composite indicator that takes into account both the volume of the Web content and the visibility and impact of these web publications according to the number of external inlinks they received. The ranking is published by the Cybermetrics Lab, a research group of the Spanish National Research Council (CSIC) located in Madrid.

Nanchang University

Nanchang University is a public research university located in Nanchang, Jiangxi, China. NCU has also been recognized as a National Key University in the nation. Based on the new plan initiated by Chinese Ministry of Education in 2017, NCU has been listed as one of nearly 140 Double First Class Discipline Universities in the mainland China. NCU is the first and the only one in Jiangxi Province that has been sponsored by both Project 211 (1995-2016) and Double First Class University Plan (2017-present) of the Ministry of Education.

Amrita Institute of Medical Sciences Hospital in Kerala, India

Amrita Institute of Medical Sciences (AIMS), also referred to as Amrita Hospital, is a super-specialty quaternary care health center and medical school in Kochi, India. It is one of the largest medical facilities in the country with a total built-up area of over 3.33 million sq.ft, spread over 125 acres of land. It is a 1,450-bed hospital which supports a daily patient volume of about 3,000 outpatients with 95 percent inpatient occupancy. It was inspired by Mata Amritanandamayi and inaugurated on 17 May 1998 by the then Prime Minister, Atal Bihari Vajpayee. The Mata Amritanandamayi Math is its parent organisation. Ron Gottsegen is the executive director and Prem Nair is the medical director of AIMS. Dr.(Col). Vishal Marwaha is the Principal/Dean of AIMS.

Ranking are established to help inform potential applicants about universities in Canada based on a range of criteria, including student body characteristics, classes, faculty, finances, library, and reputation. Various rankings consider combinations of factors, including funding and endowment, research excellence and/or influence, specialization expertise, admissions, student options, award numbers, internationalization, graduate employment, industrial linkage, historical reputation and other criteria. Various rankings also evaluate universities based on research output.

Mount Carmel East Hospital in Ohio, United States

Mount Carmel East is a primary care hospital in Columbus, Ohio. Located on a 77-acre (31 ha) campus just outside of the suburb of Reynoldsburg, the hospital serves the east side of Columbus as well as other smaller communities. Mount Carmel East is part of Mount Carmel Health System, which was founded in 1886 by the Sisters of the Holy Cross. It is located off Interstate 270 and is accessible from the Central Ohio Transit Authority (COTA) public transport network. The hospital opened in 1972, and has expanded since, becoming the largest hospital in the Mount Carmel Health System network and the fourth-largest hospital in Central Ohio. U.S. News & World Report regionally ranked Mount Carmel East and West Hospitals as the 18th best performing hospitals in Ohio and high performing in four specialties and procedures.
