Elsevier bought SSRN from Social Science Electronic Publishing Inc. in May 2016. It is not an electronic journal, but rather an electronic library and search engine.

Mahidol University is an autonomous public research university in Thailand. The university was founded as part of Siriraj Hospital in 1888. It was first called the University of Medical Science in 1943, and has been recognized as Thailand's fourth public university. The university was renamed in 1969 by King Bhumibol Adulyadej for his father, Prince Mahidol of Songkhla, known as the "Father of Modern Medicine and Public Health in Thailand".

The University of North Texas Health Science Center at Fort Worth – HSC, Health Science Center, Health Science Center at Fort Worth – is an academic health science center in Fort Worth, Texas. Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children's Hospital of Chicago, formerly Children's Memorial Hospital and commonly known as Lurie Children's, is a nationally ranked pediatric acute care children's hospital located in Chicago, Illinois. The hospital has 360 beds and is affiliated with the Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine. The hospital provides comprehensive pediatric specialties and subspecialties to infants, children, teens, and young adults aged 0–21 throughout Illinois and surrounding regions. Lurie Children's also sometimes treats adults that require pediatric care. Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children's Hospital of Chicago also features a state designated Level 1 Pediatric Trauma Center, one of four in the state. The hospital has affiliations with the nearby Northwestern Memorial Hospital and the attached Prentice Women's Hospital. Lurie is located on the university's Streeterville campus with more than 1,665 physicians on its medical staff and 4,000 employees. Additionally, Lurie Children's has a rooftop helipad to transport critically-ill pediatric patients to the hospital.

Mount Carmel East is a primary care hospital in Columbus, Ohio. Located on a 77-acre (31 ha) campus just outside of the suburb of Reynoldsburg, the hospital serves the east side of Columbus as well as other smaller communities. Mount Carmel East is part of Mount Carmel Health System, which was founded in 1886 by the Sisters of the Holy Cross. It is located off Interstate 270 and is accessible from the Central Ohio Transit Authority (COTA) public transport network. The hospital opened in 1972, and has expanded since, becoming the largest hospital in the Mount Carmel Health System network and the fourth-largest hospital in Central Ohio. U.S. News & World Report regionally ranked Mount Carmel East and West Hospitals as the 18th best performing hospitals in Ohio and high performing in four specialties and procedures.

Northwestern Medicine, formerly Northwestern Memorial Healthcare, is a non-profit healthcare system affiliated with the Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine, in Chicago, Illinois. Members include research hospitals, acute care facilities, and academic centers.
