Eddie Vedder is an American musician, multi-instrumentalist and singer-songwriter best known as the lead vocalist and one of three guitarists of the American rock band Pearl Jam. He is known for his powerful baritone vocals. He also appeared as a guest vocalist in Temple of the Dog, the one-off tribute band dedicated to the late singer Andrew Wood. Vedder has been ranked at number 7 on a list of "Best Lead Singers of All Time", compiled by Rolling Stone.
Temple of the Dog was an American rock supergroup that formed in Seattle, Washington in 1990. Jack Steven Irons is an American drummer and multi-instrumentalist. He is best known as the founding drummer of the American rock band Red Hot Chili Peppers, and as a former member of Pearl Jam, with whom he recorded two studio albums.
Pearl Harbor and the Explosions was a musical act from San Francisco, California. Forming in 1978, the new wave band had limited success in the late 1970s and early 1980s, with their debut single, "Drivin'", reaching the lower end of the American top 40 charts in 1980. Around this time, they released a self-titled LP which included the song "Shut Up and Dance", which received considerable airplay, particularly in the Bay Area. The vocalist, Pearl E. Gates (also known as "Pearl Harbor", and later "Pearl Harbour", would eventually marry Clash bassist Paul Simonon.
