The Liverpool Blues was an Australian rules football team in Liverpool, England, which competed in the British Australian Rules Football League.
The Blues formed in 1993 to play in the British Australian Rules Football League. The club played only one full season, folding shortly after the 1994 home and away series began. The Blues were associated with the local Sefton Rugby Club.
A new club was later formed in 2002 in the nearby town of St Helens, known as the St Helens Miners. The club was renamed as the Northwestern Miners for the 2004 season, before they also folded.
The Liverpool Eagles were formed in late 2008, bringing the sport back to the city.

The Northwestern Miners was an Australian rules football club based in St Helens, Merseyside, England.
Knowsley Road in Eccleston, St Helens, Merseyside, was the home ground of St. Helens from 1890 until its closure in 2010. St Helens Town FC played their home fixtures at Knowsley Road from 2002 until 2010. For a period, the venue also hosted Liverpool F.C. Reserves. The stadium was demolished during spring 2011 and a new construction then known as Cunningham Grange, named after club legend Keiron Cunningham, was built on the site.
Liverpool Stanley was a semi-professional rugby league club from Liverpool, England. It was renamed Liverpool City in 1951, but was otherwise unrelated to the original Liverpool club of the same name. The club's origins date back to 1880 when it was founded as Wigan Highfield. Although the club was best known for its years in Liverpool, the club relocated numerous times, and were known as London Highfield, Huyton, Runcorn Highfield, Highfield, and eventually Prescot Panthers throughout their existence before being eventually wound up in 1996.
