Elizabeth Maree Tomkins (born 1 December 1982) is an Australian film producer. [1]

She studied at Queensland College of Art, graduating in 2005, and later began work at Briz 31 Community Television, where among other roles she produced the station's flagship show Cinema. She subsequently left community television to pursue work on various films and TV series shot in Canada, South-East Queensland, and Far-North Queensland by companies including HBO, [2] FOX, [3] Dimeworth Films, [4] and Limelight International. [5]

By 2009, she changed course to pursue independent producing and began as Production Manager and publicist of a low-budget thriller Sleeper. The film was developed by Brisbane-based production company Seven8 Media [6] and was distributed in North America and Canada by Celebrity Home Entertainment. [7]

This would lead to her producing Screen Development Australia funded short film Tender [8] which she developed with its Queensland branch QPIX.

In 2012 Liz Tomkins and Judd Tilyard produced the short film Frame 137 [9] which Tilyard also wrote and directed. The film is based on the comic of the same name crafted by The Crow creator James O'Barr [10] and the sound track features a collaboration of Iggy Pop's Dog Food by Dave Grohl and Nick Oliveri. [11] Other contributors to the sound track Norwegian punk rock musician Happy Tom and The Dwarves lead guitarist Marc Diamond.

The Crow is a supernatural superhero comic book series created by James O'Barr revolving around the titular character of the same name. The series, which was originally created by O'Barr as a means of dealing with the death of his fiancée at the hands of a drunk driver, was first published by Caliber Comics in 1989. It became an underground success, and was later adapted into a film of the same name in 1994. Snoopy, Come Home! is a 1972 American animated musical comedy-drama film directed by Bill Melendez and written by Charles M. Schulz based on the Peanuts comic strip. The film marks the on-screen debut of Woodstock, who had first appeared in the strip in 1967. It was the only Peanuts film during composer Vince Guaraldi’s lifetime that did not have a score composed by him. Its music was composed by the Sherman Brothers, who composed the music for various Disney films like Mary Poppins (1964), The Jungle Book (1967), and Bedknobs and Broomsticks (1971). The film was released on August 9, 1972 by National General Corporation, produced by Lee Mendelson Films, Bill Melendez Productions and Cinema Center Films. Despite receiving largely positive reviews, the film was a box-office flop, grossing only $245,073 against a production budget of over $1 million.

Stephen Norrington is an English filmmaker and special effects artist known for his work in the horror and action genres. Beginning his career as a sculptor and makeup artist, he worked under Dick Smith, Rick Baker, and Stan Winston on a number of well-known, effects-driven films of the 1980s and 90s. His directorial credits include the cult sci-fi horror film Death Machine and the comic book adaptations Blade and The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen. He portrayed Michael Morbius in the alternate ending to Blade.

The Phantom is a 1996 superhero film directed by Simon Wincer. Based on Lee Falk's comic strip The Phantom by King Features, the film stars Billy Zane as a seemingly immortal crimefighter and his battle against all forms of evil. QPIX was a not-for-profit film and television training organisation based in the Brisbane inner-city suburb of Annerley. It was the Queensland member of Screen Development Australia (SDA), which also included Metro Screen (NSW), Open Channel (Vic), Media Resource Centre (SA), Wide Angle Tasmania (Tas) and FTI (WA). Anthony Craig "Ack" Kinmonth is an Australian film and television composer. He was the first Australian composer to write a featured song for the American children's television series, Sesame Street: "Five Kangaroos". It aired during the show's 44th season as performed by Australian R&B singer, Jessica Mauboy. Australasian Performing Right Association reporter described it as a "catchy Australian tune" in March 2014. Kinmonth wrote a second song for the program, "Farm Animal Song ", which aired during its 45th season and was performed by Kinmonth and voice over artist, Kate Murphy.

mm2 Entertainment is a Singaporean film production and distribution company. It has produced notable films include Ah Boys to Men, The Lion Men and Long Long Time Ago series. Also, it has a presence in Hong Kong, Taipei, Shanghai, Beijing and the USA. The company also owned cinemas in Malaysia and Singapore.

The Crow is an upcoming American supernatural superhero film directed by Rupert Sanders, from a screenplay by Zach Baylin. It stars Bill Skarsgård as Eric Draven / The Crow, a murdered musician who is resurrected to avenge the deaths of himself and his fiancée, played by FKA Twigs. Based on James O'Barr's comic of the same name, it serves as a remake of the 1994 film.
