Lo-Fi is an American country band formed in Nashville, TN in 2013. [1] [2] led by singer/songwriter, Jamie Teachenor [3] [4] [5] (vocals, piano, keyboards) and songwriter & producer, Joe West (guitars, vocals). Teachenor and West have both been independently successful in the music business, [6] working with artists such as Justin Timberlake, [7] Keith Urban, [8] Luke Bryan, P. Diddy, [9] Steve Earle, Trisha Yearwood, [10] Tim McGraw, Emmylou Harris, Blake Shelton, Shakira, and many more, with combined sales of over 20 million albums. [11] Their first public performance as Lo-Fi was on May 7, 2013, at the Historic Ryman Auditorium, as part of the sold out show, "Honor Thy Song", honoring late Nashville singer-songwriter and producer, Tim Johnson.

Country music, also known as country and western, and hillbilly music, is a genre of popular music that originated in the southern United States in the early 1920s. It takes its roots from genres such as American folk music and blues.

Jamie Teachenor is an American singer, songwriter, musician and producer. In 2012, he released his debut album, The Departure. His sophomore project, Waiting Room, was released in 2013 and in 2014, he released "Lo-Fidelity" under the band name, Lo-Fi. His television appearances include ABC's Good Morning America and The CBS Early Show. His songs have been recorded by many major Country music artists. Teachenor started very early in music, fronting many bands in the Southeastern and Midwestern United States. By the age of seventeen, he was receiving regular regional airplay, and the day before his 21st birthday, he moved to Nashville to further pursue his musical dreams.

Singing is the act of producing musical sounds with the voice and augments regular speech by the use of sustained tonality, rhythm, and a variety of vocal techniques. A person who sings is called a singer or vocalist. Singers perform music that can be sung with or without accompaniment by musical instruments. Singing is often done in an ensemble of musicians, such as a choir of singers or a band of instrumentalists. Singers may perform as soloists or accompanied by anything from a single instrument up to a symphony orchestra or big band. Different singing styles include art music such as opera and Chinese opera, Indian music and religious music styles such as gospel, traditional music styles, world music, jazz, blues, ghazal and popular music styles such as pop, rock, electronic dance music and filmi.

Lo-Fi, released their debut single, "Vintage Heart" (featuring Vince Gill) on July 14, 2014, receiving heavy radio airplay in the UK (including, Scotland, Ireland, Wales, & England), [12] Germany, Australia, Italy, New Zealand, Canada, Sweden, South Africa, Belgium, France, Austria, Denmark, and Japan, as well as many stations in the US [13] debuting at number 39 as the Hi-Debut on the Indie World Country Chart [14] the week of August 22, 2014, climbing to number 10, and debuting at number 7 on CDBaby's Top Indie Songs Chart, the first week of September. [15] Lo-Fi's debut album, "Lo-Fidelity", was released September 2, 2014, and debuted at number 67 on iTunes New Releases Chart, [16] quickly becoming an Amazon Best Seller. Also, "Vintage Heart" reached number 23 on Japan's Top 40 Chart. On September 19, 2014, Lo-Fi's second single, "When You're Over Me", reached number 18 on Play MPE's Top 20 Download Chart, [17] and climbed to number 8 on Play MPE's Top 20 Stream Chart on September 26, 2014. Jim Teachenor is an American Rockabilly and Country singer, songwriter and musician. He was born in Clay County, Arkansas and raised in Fagus, Missouri. He toured throughout the U.S. in the 1950s and 1960s. In 2013, he was inducted into the Rockabilly Hall of Fame.

The Departure is the debut studio album by American singer-songwriter Jamie Teachenor. It was released on February 28, 2012, by Rock Fiction Records. His debut single, "I Never Know," and his follow-up single, "Free Birds Have Cages," received airplay at both Rock and Country Radio, quickly becoming Amazon Best Sellers. Teachenor debuted, "Free Birds Have Cages," on season one, episode 3 of The Joey + Rory Show. His third single, "Burning," saw success internationally on College Rock and AAA radio. Two more tracks from "The Departure," "Coming Down" and "I Don't Wanna Think About That," also went on to become Amazon Best Sellers.

Waiting Room — EP is the second studio album by American singer-songwriter Jamie Teachenor. It was released on November 26, 2013, by Gasoline. The EP did well on several independent charts, debuting at number 45 on iTunes Top Rock Songs Chart and number 60 in the UK on Rockadia Magazine's Top 100 Rock New Releases Chart, quickly becoming an Amazon Best Selling Album. "Love Somebody" was chosen as the lead-off single from Waiting Room, " and was followed in early 2014 with the single, "I'm Not Over You," continuing to gain ground for Teachenor on Indie radio. The EP's cover art features an oil-based painting by Teachenor also titled, "Waiting Room."

"Habits " is a song recorded by Swedish singer Tove Lo from her debut extended play (EP), Truth Serum, and her debut studio album, Queen of the Clouds (2014). It was written by Lo with Ludvig Söderberg and Jakob Jerlström, while it was produced by the latter two under the production name The Struts. Initially, the singer self-released the song under the title "Habits" on 15 March 2013 as her second independently-released single. After Lo was signed to Universal Music, the track was re-released on 6 December 2013 under the title of "Habits " as both the second single from Truth Serum and the lead single from Queen of the Clouds. Musically, it is a pop and electropop song which features a minimal and upbeat electronic instrumentation. Its lyrics delve into the singer's attempts to forget her previous boyfriend through substance abuse, drinking and other hedonistic practices. Consequently, some critics and Lo herself noted a contrast between the song's production and its lyrical content.
