Contents

Background

In 2004, the Welsh Government published the proposals for involving local communities in agreeing local priorities and influencing local services. [3]

Provisions

The measure implements the 2004 proposals relating to involving local communities in agreeing local priorities and influencing local services. [3]

The act requires Welsh improvement authorities to make arrangements to ensure "continuous improvement in the exercise of its functions". [2]

Application

In some cases, the Welsh Government may provide a statutory support package, provided under the act, to local authorities following an independent assessment of a local authority's key challenges. [4]
