The Local Government (Wales) Measure 2011 (Welsh : Mesur Llywodraeth Leol (Cymru) 2011) was a measure of the National Assembly for Wales which made certain reforms to local government.
The measure reforms allowances for councillors. [1] The measure requires local authorities to allow virtual attendance at council meetings. [2] The measure included contained changes to the processes for establishing and dissolving town and community councils. [3]
The measure extended the general power of competence, which had applied to county and borough councils under the Local Government Act 2000, to community and town councils. [4] The act requires local authorities to hold a survey after each ordinary election. [5]
