Logan Nelson (born November 11, 1996) is an American composer who has composed scores for films, video games, and modern dance productions. [1] In 2018, he received the SABAM Award for Best Young International Composer by the World Soundtrack Academy. [2] He composes music for The Morning Show with Carter Burwell.
Nelson was born and raised in Wichita, Kansas. In his early years, he "fell in love with" the viola and studied piano and composition with local professors. [1] Nelson attended the University of Southern California [3] where he majored in Music Composition and minored in Cinematic Arts. [4] At USC, he studied music composition with Ted Hearne [5] and film scoring with Garry Schyman; [4] Nelson worked closely with the Glorya Kaufman School of Dance and a solo violinist to "sample unique and interesting violin textures that he later produced into electronic elements" in collaboration with student choreographers, the project concluded with two performances. [6]
Logan Nelson has composed the music for Seasons 2 and 3 of the Emmy-winning Apple TV+ drama, The Morning Show , in collaboration with Carter Burwell. He also scored the romantic comedy, Straight Up . [7] The film was produced by Valparaiso Pictures and stars actress Katie Findlay. [8]
As a collaborator with Kris Bowers, Logan wrote music for Netflix’s critically acclaimed Dear White People, [9] as well as the Oscar-winning film, Green Book. [7] Additionally, Logan has worked at Hans Zimmer’s Remote Control Productions.
Nelson also produces music for the synth-pop duo, LightHouse. [9] Their song, Nebula, was described by NEST HQ (Owsla) as "mature, highly-refined synth-pop brilliantly contrasting bright, summery sounds with ghostly, melancholy vocal harmonies and a dark, echoing flair to the production." [10] LightHouse was just featured in FLAUNT Magazine. [9]
The Academy Award for Best Original Score is an award presented annually by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences (AMPAS) to the best substantial body of music in the form of dramatic underscoring written specifically for the film by the submitting composer. Some pre-existing music is allowed, though, but a contending film must include a minimum of original music. Carter Benedict Burwell is an American film composer. He has frequently collaborated with the Coen brothers, having scored most of their films. He has also scored films by other directors such as Bill Condon, Todd Haynes, Spike Jonze, Martin McDonagh, James Foley, Brian Helgeland, and John Lee Hancock. Burwell received Academy Award nominations for Best Original Score for Haynes's Carol (2015) and McDonagh's films Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri (2017), and The Banshees Of Inisherin (2022).

He is a Sundance Lab Fellow for film composition, and has had work premiere at the Cannes, Toronto, Berlin, and Sundance film festivals. Maddala has received six Emmy nominations, with four wins, in the category of "Outstanding Music Direction and Composition."
Nicholas Britell is an American film and television composer. He has received numerous accolades including an Emmy Award as well as nominations for three Academy Awards and a Grammy Award. He has received Academy Award nominations for Best Original Score for Barry Jenkins' Moonlight (2016) and If Beale Street Could Talk (2018), and Adam McKay's Don't Look Up (2021). He also scored McKay's The Big Short (2015) and Vice (2018). He is also known for scoring Battle of the Sexes (2017), Cruella (2021), and She Said (2022).

Born in Waseca, Minnesota, she completed a Doctor of Musical Arts degree in composition from Columbia University in the City of New York in 2018. She also holds degrees from The University of Memphis (MM) and Luther College (BA). She is a founding member of Ghost Ensemble. Previously, she served as Assistant Professor of Composition at Valparaiso University. and serves as Lecturer of Composition at the Peabody Institute.
Blade Runner 2049 – Original Motion Picture Soundtrack is the soundtrack album for the 2017 film Blade Runner 2049. Released in October 2017, the album contains music composed by Hans Zimmer and Benjamin Wallfisch, along with additional tracks by Elvis Presley, Frank Sinatra and Lauren Daigle. The soundtrack was produced by Michael Hodges, Kayla Morrison and Ashley Culp. It also includes the piece "Tears in the Rain", which was originally composed and performed by Vangelis, the composer of the original 1982 soundtrack Blade Runner.
Gordy Haab is an American film, video game and television composer based in Los Angeles, California. His work has been featured in works associated with franchises including Star Wars Battlefront II, for which he won Video Game Score of the Year from the American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers. Haab is also known for his work on Microsoft's Halo Wars 2, for which he was nominated for a 2017 HMMA award. His score for Electronic Arts' Star Wars: Battlefront, won three awards at the 2016 GDC G.A.N.G. Awards: Music of the Year, Best Interactive Score, and Best Instrumental Score. Haab was also nominated for a BAFTA Games Awards for his work on Star Wars: Battlefront.

The score was met with critical acclaim and received accolades at various ceremonies, including a nomination for the BAFTA Award for Best Original Music and Golden Globe Award for Best Original Score, but was ruled ineligible for contention at the 89th Academy Awards.
The Theory of Everything (Original Motion Picture Soundtrack) is the score album composed by Icelandic composer Jóhann Jóhannsson to the 2014 film of the same name released on 4 November 2014 by Back Lot Music. The score relies on neo-classical themes more than "the decades' respective earmark sounds of the British invasion", punk music and synthpop, while including "[Jóhannsson's] signature blend of acoustic instruments and electronics". The music was acclaimed by critics, and won the Golden Globe Award for Best Original Score, alongside receiving nominations Academy Award for Best Original Score, a BAFTA Award for Best Film Music, a Critics' Choice Movie Award for Best Score and a Grammy Award for Best Score Soundtrack for Visual Media.
