The economy of Saudi Arabia is the largest in the Middle East and the eighteenth-largest in the world. A permanent and founding member of OPEC, Saudi Arabia is also a member of the G20 forum as one of the world's largest economies.
Transport in Saudi Arabia is facilitated through a relatively young system of roads, railways and seaways. Most of the network started construction after the discovery of oil in the Eastern Province in 1952, with the notable exception of Highway 40, which was built to connect the capital Riyadh to the economically productive Eastern Province, and later to the Islamic holy city of Mecca and the port city of Jeddah. With the economic growth of the 1970s, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has initiated many infrastructure development projects across the country, and the extensive development of the transportation network has followed suit in support of various economic developments.

Consolidated Contractors Company (CCC) is the largest construction company in the Middle East and ranks among the top 25 international contractors with a revenue of US$5.3 billion in 2013 and 1.872 billion by 2020. CCC has offices and projects in over 40 countries, and in 2033 had a workforce of 36,000 employees. In April 2019, CCC was engaged in 40 ongoing projects globally. The majority of its sales are in the Middle East.

The company has holdings throughout the Middle East, North Africa, the Far East and Europe. The company is best classed as a conglomerate with investments including the financial, banking, healthcare, real estate, manufacturing, transportation, and operations and maintenance sectors.
STFA Group is a Turkish conglomerate, providing services in the construction, energy distribution, construction equipment and construction chemicals industries. STFA was founded in 1938 by contractors Sezai Türkeş and Feyzi Akkaya. STFA has been employed in contracts in 24 countries so far, for a cumulative amount of US$25 billion.
Water supply and sanitation in Saudi Arabia is characterized by challenges and achievements. One of the main challenges is water scarcity. In order to overcome water scarcity, substantial investments have been undertaken in seawater desalination, water distribution, sewerage and wastewater treatment. Today about 50% of drinking water comes from desalination, 40% from the mining of non-renewable groundwater and only 10% from surface water in the mountainous southwest of the country. The capital Riyadh, located in the heart of the country, is supplied with desalinated water pumped from the Arabian Gulf over a distance of 467 km. Water is provided almost for free to residential users. Despite improvements, service quality remains poor, for example in terms of continuity of supply. Another challenge is weak institutional capacity and governance, reflecting general characteristics of the public sector in Saudi Arabia. Among the achievements is a significant increases in desalination, and in access to water, the expansion of wastewater treatment, as well as the use of treated effluent for the irrigation of urban green spaces, and for agriculture.

The corporation is governed by an 11-member Board of Directors, made up of the President and CEOs of its four working groups, the corporation's CFO, and six independent members. Samsung C&T employs over 17,000 people. The firm is often regarded as the holding company of Samsung chaebol as it is a major shareholder of various Samsung affiliates.
The Dammam–Riyadh line is a passenger railway line in Saudi Arabia, linking the Eastern Province's capital city of Dammam with the Saudi capital Riyadh. The 449 km (279 mi) line has four stations. It is owned and operated by Saudi Arabia Railways.

Dar Al Arkan Real Estate (DAAR) (Arabic: دار الأركان) is a Saudi Arabian property development company. It is the largest developer by market value in Saudi Arabia. Dar Al Arkan is also involved in the acquisition, development, construction, maintenance, demolition, and restructuring of residential and commercial buildings. Based in Riyadh, it was established in 1994.
Omrania and Associates, also known as Omrania, is an international architectural, engineering, and urban planning firm based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Founded in 1973, it specializes in the design of contextual and high-performance design projects.
The Riyadh Metro is a rapid transit system under construction in Riyadh, the capital city of Saudi Arabia. It is part of the King Abdulaziz Project for Riyadh Public Transport and will consist of six metro lines spanning a total length of 176 kilometres (109 mi), with 85 stations. The project will cost $22.5 billion to build. It is expected to open to passengers in 2024.
King Salman Park (KSP) (Arabic: حديقة الملك سلمان) is a proposed 4102-acre large-scale public park and urban district in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. It was unveiled in 2019 as one of the public initiatives to increase the green space of Riyadh. Being built on the grounds of former Riyadh Air Base and covering most of King Abdulaziz District, it is slated to be the largest urban park in the world upon its opening in 2024. The park has lent its name to the nearby district of King Salman Neighborhood, both of which are named after King Salman bin Abdulaziz, the ruler of Saudi Arabia since 2015.
