The Lola B03/51 is an open-wheel formula racing car, designed, developed and built by Lola for the Japanese Formula Nippon championship series, in 2003. It was powered by a naturally aspirated 3,000 cc (180 cu in) Mugen MF308 engine that produced around 550 hp (410 kW) @ 13,500 rpm. [2] [3] [4] [5]
Lola Cars Limited is a British automobile manufacturer founded in 1958 by Eric Broadley in Bromley, England. The company is now owned by Till Bechtolsheimer, which he purchased in 2022. Lola Cars endured for more than fifty years to become one of the oldest and largest manufacturers of racing cars in the world. Lola started by building small front-engined sports cars, and branched out into Formula Junior cars before diversifying into a wider range of sporting vehicles. In 2012, Lola Cars stopped operations. The company is set to make a return to motorsport in 2025 by joining the Formula E World Championship.
The Super Formula Championship is a formula racing series held primarily in Japan. It is considered to be the pinnacle of single-seater racing in Japan or Asia as a whole, making it one of the top motorsport series in the region. Mugen, meaning "without limit", "unlimited" or "vast", is an engine tuner and parts manufacturer that manufactures OEM parts such as body kits and sports exhausts for Honda. Despite the family relationship, Mugen is not and has never been owned by Honda Motor Company; however, Mugen owner Hirotoshi Honda has been the biggest shareholder in Honda since his father's death in 1991.

The Toyota RV8 engine family is a series of race car engines designed, developed and produced by Toyota Racing Development. They come in 2.65-liter, 3.0-liter and 3.4-liter, turbocharged and naturally-aspirated, V8 racing engine versions. They are used in the CART series, IRL IndyCar Series, Formula Nippon, Super GT, and Le Mans Prototype sports car racing, from 1996 to 2015. The naturally-aspirated engine, formerly used in Formula Nippon and Super GT, is itself derived from the Toyota Indy V8 Indy car racing V8 engine.
The Lola T96/50 is an open-wheel formula race car chassis developed by British manufacturer Lola, for use in the International Formula 3000 series, a feeder-series for Formula One, between 1996 and 1998, until it was replaced by the new Lola B99/50 chassis for the new in 1998. Similar chassis', dubbed the Lola T96/51 and Lola T96/52, were used in the Japanese Formula Nippon series until 1999, and were powered by 3.0 L (180 cu in) Mugen V8 engines.

It was powered by either the 425–500 hp (317–373 kW), naturally-aspirated, 256 cu in (4.20 L), Ford Indy V-8 engine, or the 168 cu in (2.75 L), 520 hp (390 kW), Offenhauser 4-cylinder turbo engine.
The Lola T160, and its evolution, the Lola T165, is a series of purpose-built Group 7 sports prototype race cars, designed and developed by British chassis manufacturer Lola Cars, specifically to compete in the Can-Am series in 1968. It was the successor to the competitive T70, sharing similar design knowledge and cues. Lola built the chassis, constructed out of fiberglass, and molded into an aluminum monocoque. This meant the car was light was lightweight, weighing only 670 kg (1,480 lb). The chassis was designed to accept a small-block engine, but most cars were powered by either the Chevrolet ZL1 or the Ford FE "big-block" motors, generating about 625–750 hp (466–559 kW); mated to a 4-speed or 5-speed Hewland L.G.500 or L.G.600 manual transmission. This made the cars very fast, with a notably excellent power-to-weight ratio. It was used in active competition until 1971, and was succeeded and used alongside the new T220 in 1970.

The Mugen MF308 is a naturally aspirated, petrol-powered, 3.0 L (180 cu in), V8 racing engine, designed, developed, and built by Mugen Motorsports, for Formula 3000 racing categories, between 1988 and 2005. It produced between 490–500 hp (370–370 kW) over its lifetime. It famously powered Jean Alesi to the 1989 International Formula 3000 Championship, with Eddie Jordan Racing.
The March 783 and March 793 are open-wheel Formula 3 race car chassis, designed, developed, and built by March Engineering between 1978 and 1979. They are very similar in design, with the 793 essentially being a ground effect version of the 783; with lower side pods and skirts. Between them, they won a total of 24 races, including three non-championship races in 1979, with Kenny Acheson. The 793 chassis in particular was extremely successful, and completely dominated the 1979 season, with Brazilian Chico Serra clinching the 1979 British Formula Three Championship, after winning 5 out of the 20 races. Italian Andrea de Cesaris was runner-up, placing second in the championship; having also won 5 races with the March 793. New Zealander Mike Thackwell placed third in the championship, having won 4 races with the March 793 chassis. They were powered by either a Toyota or Triumph four-cylinder engine.
The March 782 was an open-wheel Formula 2 car, designed, developed and built by British manufacturer March Engineering in 1978. The 782 chassis was very competitive, and March dominated the season with their 782 chassis, and it was a clean-sweep; winning 11 out of the 12 races, and Bruno Giacomelli winning the championship, with 78 points. Marc Surer finished second-place in the championship as runner-up, with 48 points ; also driving a 782 chassis. It saw continued used until the end of 1981, with Alberto Colombo winning at Hockenheim in 1980 with a two-year-old 782 chassis.
