London Westside B.C. are an English basketball club, based in the North Kensington area of West London, England.
The club was founded in 2000, with strong links to the local community and to provide opportunity for talented local players to develop. [1] [2]
Westside had much early success in the regional leagues, and entered the English Basketball League for the first time in 2004. [3]
The club was severely disrupted by the Grenfell Tower fire in 2017, with their main home venue out of action for a considerable period as a hub for the relief effort. The club were later awarded funds from the Grenfell Young People's Fund, raised by readers who donated to the London Evening Standard's Dispossessed Fund Grenfell Appeal, to support their youth development work. The club is partnered with St Charles College, who compete in the Academies Basketball League. The ABL is the second-tier under 19's competition in the United Kingdom. St Charles were runners-up in the competition in 2019. [7]

The Morecambe Bay Storm were the final operating name of an American Football club that were based in Morecambe, Lancashire who played in the BAFA National Leagues. The club traces its roots back to 2011 when the Walney Terriers joined the BAFANL. In 2016 Morecambe Bay formed as a separate club in the same regional division, while the Terriers became the Furness Phantoms in 2017. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Phantoms dropped out of the 2021 season before announcing a merger with The Storm in time for the 2022 season, however several months later the merged team also folded. The Storm and the Phantoms had both been divisional rivals until the merger.

Un œil sur la planète was a French television quarterly geopolitical newsmagazine show that ran on Channel France 2 from 2002-2017. Directed throughout the entire run by Patrick Boitet, the show was presented by Thierry Thuillier from 2002 to 2008, by Étienne Leenhardt from 2008 to 2015 and by Samah Soula from 2016 to 2017. After the 9/11 attacks, France 2 editor-in-chief Olivier Mazerolle desired to air a program to better understand less-known places on the globe. The program's format by week zeroed in on a specific nation or region, and offered 4-5 reports detailing cultural, economic, or geopolitical issues within, with ground reporting and very little in-studio segments. The program routinely achieved a 10% audience share, with an all-time high of 20.8%. It was cancelled in 2017.
